Well worth a visit, you can just lay back when it's sunny. A visit is also worth the price.
You'll be able to visit the couturiers and the backstage as well as a visit in the arena itself.

Thank Jan G

A must see if your visiting Oslo. Only a few minutes walk from the central train station.

The building is amazing but the views from the roof are even better.

Another standard to visit when you come to Oslo. It's five minutes walk from the main station and the building architecture is very unique. The surroundings in 2012 are still a bit messy as there are quite a lot construction work still going on in the area. Nevertheless on the Opera Roof you still get a nice overview from Oslo Fjord and the city.

I visited the building but didn't see a show, it has the most extraordinary WC i have ever visited. I purchased from the visitors shop and they would not accept Euros which alot of the other places i visited would so had to pay on my card.

Built in white Italian marble and glass, wth modern wooden interiors, the opera house seems to have the quality of changing with the seasons and the time of day, almost becoming a different building from day to night and from sun to snow. I particularly like the way the marble slopes down below the water line.
