Just one block from the City Hall and ships to the Fram Kontiky museum. Train from airport to National Teater about 3 blochs. Many good restaurant and shoppivg centers nearby. The hotel offers a very good breakfast with by least 2 kinds os salmon, shrimps and cheeses. Selected juices.Silent ambience. Enjoy the bars and wine cellar.
Staff is helpful and the rooms are very clean. Good shower and big bathroom.

Weather was fabulous which put me in a good mood. Arrived around noon but room not ready. Front desk offered to give me another room until my room was ready - how nice was that! Room was spacious and lovely.

I spent two nights at this hotel. The location couldn't be better. It is a short walk from the National Theater stop which is also serviced by the Fly2Get from the airport. Make sure when you get out of the station you take the exit in the direction of Karl Johans Gate and walk toward the theater and the hotel will be across the street on the right. Super easy and you only have to cross one street.

This hotel is an old building so my room was actually down a couple stairs from where the elevator landing was. It was a large room with lots of character. The AC was great (it was quite warm while I was visiting). Breakfast was good.

My only possible recommendation is the room to store luggage is very warm because of server equipment in there. I had lots of chocolate from Switzerland from my last stop and it would have been better if the room didn't have the equipment but it is a minor complaint.

This is a great hotel with lots of character and modern amenities. Usually in Europe you get one or the other but you get everything here. I would stay here again.

A superb location. We had a deluxe king room which was quite large. Our room was on the back courtyard and was very quiet, just what we requested. The breakfast spread is very good, including a machine that fresh squeezes orange juice--a nice touch. The service is very friendly, there is a comfortable bar area and the English version of the Financial Times arrives from Germany at about 9:00 am.

Room tip: See comments above.

About 5 mins easy walk from National Theatre train station, where there is easy access to tram, metro and airport. Your are in great shopping area, restaurants, central to lots of sights, hop on/off bus and a 2 blocks from waterfront, 1 block from ATM, chemist and 711.
We upgraded to a suite as they had an offer available, and we had a huge cornered 2 room 420, with great views across park and fountain. The bed was super soft and comfortable, all needed toilertries were supplied, had good size bath too. An electric towel rack heater. There was some street noise but not too bad as evening quiet unless a band at the park which did happen one night.
On our return we stayed in 528, off the Main Street looking on internal courtyard, extra big sized room with a little office area, shower only but very quiet room. The building has timber floors, nice lounge spot on each floor with book shelves to read and relax.
Mini bar, tea, coffee etc. They have a good pizza restaurant in house and also a great bar, and plenty of lounge type seating. Wifi is good and free.
If I was being picky, the bath towels are too small but seems standard for Euro countries. They also had these modem vanity units, like round stone. Which in 420 were too low, and in 528 if your turned the tap on full, missed the sink and went all over the floor. They also had a downlight set up where all the lights in bedroom and other areas were connected, which could be distributing if one of you was sleeping and in room 420 there was poor lighting in the vanity area thigh twin sinks.
Both rooms had block out curtains.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and I would not hesitate to return. They stored some luggage for 2 weeks while we went on another trip, and also the day we left.

Room tip: Good views available, suites have baths, internal courtyard rooms very quiet.
