The hype for Cru when it opened it was the best and most innovative restaurant in Oslo, where everyone wanted a reservation. Once the coveted reservation was acquired I was disappointed in my very high expectations. The food is good, but I was expecting excellent. My expectation was of great Scandinavian cuisine and it fell short on delivery. High prices for food with minimal innovation and the presumption they are making food and combining flavors that you never had before.
