Description: Akersberget is a charming restaurant located in a 250-year-old house on historic ground in one of Oslo's oldest neighbourhoods. The kitchen uses local ingredients mixed with Nordic culinary tradition and modern food preparation techniques. The new Akersberget opened in 2011 with a new focus on beer and food combinations, and the menu now includes several dishes prepared with beer. Akersberget's grill restaurant on the patio is open for lunch and dinner in summer, every day except Monday.

“Geat beer tasting and local food place”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

Located in old silver mine buildings preserves much of the spirit of good old times.
But adds a wide selection of local beers for tasting (including seethorn busch beer) and delicious and subtle local dishes.
We've been there on the ocasion of birthday party and everything that depended on the place and staff went great and smooth.

“Not great”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Had dinner here with my girlfriend. The staff was very nice and friendly. I had made an reservation for a table, when we arrived we where placed in a small "shed". This was not in the same house as the kitchen so the food had to be carried outdoors before it ended up on our table. The food was good, but not good enough to defend the high price. Good beer menu.

“Nice little restaurant with expensive but great food.”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

This restaurant is situated in a very old house. Some years ago almost falling down, and now very nice renovated, housing a small restaurant. This is absolutely not a common area you are going out for dinner, but the area is changing very much these days and will be the next "hot-place to be seen in Oslo". The menu is rather small, but the food is great! The only sad part is the price, together with the size of the meals. When you leave you are still a bit hungry, but the wallet is empty. They have a very large selection of beers from all the world, and a lot of the dishes are being made by beer also. And that gives the food a very very good taste. You should really try! But they are of course also serving wine, and we had a quite okay Ripasso, at the lowest price I have ever seen i Oslo. That was a nice surprise.
The waiters was very polite and did a good job, making us feel welcome.
Since the house is very small, it is very crowded and cramped, but in a charming way. I think we will be back again :)

“Great place in historic building”
Reviewed June 30, 2011

Very pleasant staff and great food made this a experience I would like to repeat. We had tournedos, which was perfectly cooked. Too bad I was driving, the beer menu is very interesting with about 15 different Belgian beers (along with a lot of other types).

“Fine but not great”
Reviewed December 29, 2009

We had a pleasant night at Akersberget, and were neither disappointed nor impressed. We ordered a five course dinner with wine. The service was generally good, although one off target wine recommendation pulled the general impression down a little bit (a heavy taste of oak does not go well with delicate dishes). We thought some of the courses had a bit to much going on, but that is certainly a matter of preference.
