Dirty and smelly (smelt of smoke and stale air). Also very noisy if your room is next to the neighbouring strip club. Location is good, in that it is close to the central station, and you can also watch the prostitutes from your bedroom window. Cheap, but not at all worth it.

Room Tip: Avoid at all costs.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews before booking this hostel! I just wanted an inexpensive place (in Norwegian terms) to stay for one night. What a mistake! Staying at this hostel was the worst experience of my holiday in Scandinavia. What I encountered was rude, unfriendly, unhelpful staff, quite a few sleazy guests, a dirty smelly room, unwashed sheets, a disgusting bathroom. Also the wi-fi and TV didn't work. Don't let the nice photos fool you! It seemed to be a place used by prostitutes and drug dealers and/or addicts - but I didn't want to investigate! I couldn't believe this was Norway! I was seriously thinking of leaving and should have. I ended up spending a very restless, unpleasant night in this disgusting hostel. The only good thing about it was its close proximity to the central railway station. I strongly advise anyone reading this to steer clear of the Sentrum Pensjonat. Better to spend 10 or 20 euros more and stay in a halfway decent place.

When I arrived there was nobody at reception for 20 minutes. Wen I got to my room the smell from my bed clothes, they definitely were not washed from many prior guests id imagine. The wifi on the 4th floor was very poor. Overall it didnt seem like a friendly atmosphere but having said that Oslo is one of the most expensive cities in the world and its a central location for 36euro.
Next time I will pay the extra money for a clean better experience elsewhere!

Only stayed at this hotel for one night, but found it to be ok. Room was clean and staff seemed friendly. It did seem fairly expensive for what it was but Oslo in general is very expensive. Besides this I cannot fault the hotel as it was centrally located e.g. 5 minute walk from central station.

I spent 3 nights with one friend in a twin room of the 4th floor. Its location is just perfect, the central station at two blocs and it's one of the cheapest options in Oslo. It's quite a nice place where to stay and live in a "local" way. The place has a kitchen with microwaves, ovens, fires, big table for dinner, some sofas and a pair of TVs... a bathroom for each floor, acceptable considering it's a hostel. In the rooms we had a DVD player (was broken but we didn't use it anyway), an small fridge (really useful) and everything felt pretty homelike. Receptionist was useful and it seemed that there was a PC for clients use, apart for the free wi-fi. Perfect for young adventurers.

I stayed there for in a 5-person room for a night with a friend of mine. The staff just doesn't care about you, but that can also be nice, as in they don't care if you check in early or check out late. The cleanliness is overall fine. The place is very central located and if you want to go out at night but have no idea what to do, you might meet some new people there and hang out with them.

Was here for 2 days for a job in Oslo. All the hotels were full so this was the only available option besides a 2000 NKR suite in another hotel (regret I did not take it instead).

It smells like mold and is generally unpleasant and disgusting. There is a TV in the room but amazingly no channels. No soundproofing and you hear everything from the rooms next door. Just a toilet and shower per floor that everyone should share. Rather stayed dirty than go into those shower rooms.

In the morning I discovered that I had been bitten by bedbugs. Upon arrival I was promised later check out at 14, but on check out day came the rude receptionist to the room at 12:30 and asks why I hadn't checked out.

I then tells the arrogant man that he promised me later check out 14pm. He left the room without complaining or saying anything. Well, anyway, I was still happy to leave the area as soon as possible.

On the way out I meet alcohol stinking Eastern Europeans who seem to be the main guests at this place. The guest house is also in one of the worse quarters of Oslo with junkies and prostitutes right outside. Some of the street girls also seems to live at the guest house.

If you wish yourself well so stay far away from this guest house!......
