It took some time after we got our table until we were acknowledged, although the restaurant was almost empty. I like to eat my food sitting with my feet on the ground, not on bar stools San Leandro offers. We ordered an España menu, rather expensive, but looked promising. The soup was tasty, and the Pata Negra really good. The tomatoes fresh, sprinkled with balsamico. Boring. The tortilla dry and tasteless, the Gambas a shadow of what you get in Spain. The potatoes spongy and no taste, the same can be said about the Albóndigas, and so on so forth. Definitely not worth the money.

The service was rather slow and not very attentive. Not going back.

I had heard good things about San Leandro, and decided to go there for a romantic meal.
And, the food was good, by all means. But the whole place was a bit lacking...

I had made reservation a week ahead; yet, when we arrived we were at first offered a place upstairs, at the end of a table suited for eight, right in the busy pathway of waiters and patrons. Not acceptable. Only slightly better was the table we were offered next – around the corner, farthest in the locale, next to the restrooms. The overhead yellow lights were a bit too bright in-your-face. This was also a bad place as the waiters weren't too frequently around. Why had they not reserved a table for two, as I requested? They were guaranteed NOT that booked when I called a week earlier.

Another small gripe was that they had run out of any of the half-bottles on their wine list. Something the waiter didn't even mention when he gave us the menus. Instead we had to order by the glass, which of course, was more expensive. Surely they should have their wine logistics in order before a weekend? Also, the first glasses we got were of a medium size. The second glasses were more normal size, and hence offered more wine per glass. This is sloppy!

While the food was quite OK, San Leandro needs to review their seating plans, chair comfort, the bright yellow overhead lights. The booking routines should make sure that couple reservations are not brushed off with a second rate table.

Fortunately, I had a lovely evening with my dinner date, but methinks I will choose another tapas place next time.

The food here was a big disappointment. Nothing special to offer and the food they serve is mediocre. This was the first and last time I went here. Too bad because the place have a nice atmosphere.

The first thing you will notice about this restaurant is that it's located on a street where you could see not more than traffic and passingby people. The place has two floor, little dark light, uncomfortable seats, you can't lean back. No place to hang your coat or handbag or whatever.

It is totally lack of waiters! Only three in such a large restaurant ?.. that was shocking! So, no wonder if the service was TOO slow! and later a group of people came in kept standing by the bar and blocked the door! the waiter didn't bother to ask them to move around or give some space at all. We had to wave to him to come to us and serve us! and one hour later, we were even shocked at one waiter left the restaurant quite early leaving back the place with only two waiters who couldn't manage to serve everyone on time!!!!

The tapas we had was OK but the bread was dull, not sliced and not so fresh, and we found out that they are out of some wines on the winelist! so we ended up requesting what the waiter recommended!

We won't go there again. and I don't recommend this place for those who really love tapas and want to eat in cozy, relaxed place where they can enjoy their meals and the scene!

Not recommended!

The alarm started suddenly due to the smoke from the kitchen, twice!...

We felt stressed and not comfortable

Great tapas experience! we had the espana menu, with 12 different tapas, this is a good way to have a small taste of everything. We had a big table in 2 floor on a saturday evening. The restaurant was full and the accoustic is quite terrible, you will have problems to hear what people sitting on the other side of the table saying.
All over good service and food!
