Bathroom needed attention - which shouldn't be a problem in this bracket of restaurant. Steaks were good, but nothing special. Server impersonal and little attention. Decent selection of wines. Nice place to come out, but needs some improving on the service side.

You get what you would expect in a steakhouse: A good choice of meats, an assortment of side dishes and a fair choice of beverages. For Oslo and the location at Aker Brygge, the prices are quite reasonable. At busy times the restaurant can feel crowded - there is not much space between tables! The quality of the meal is reliable. I also reacted negatively - as did another reviewer - to being fairly brusquely met with the demand to use the cloakroom services for my jacket at the entrance. It may have been a bad day - on earlier ocasions, I have felt welcome and been nicely treated. I would go back when the carnivorous urge strikes again!

The setup in the restaurant is a little bit different to normal. As someone else mentioned in their review, you get a pen and order form with your menu. Fill in table number, name or initials and what food you'd like. Easy to complete (Norwegian one side and English the other) and I suppose it ensures that you at least get your order to the waiter without any language issues or confusion.

Food was good and, although a little under Medium that I'd asked for, it was cooked well and very good quality beef. Service was good and facilities were clean and well maintained.

Now nothing in Oslo seems to be cheap but this restaurant is still on the expensive end of the scale in my opinion. Somewhere like TGI Fridays would cost about £140 for 3 people (there are a few nearby) to have a meal but this was closer to £200. For me it was on company expenses so not such an issue, and helps to impress, but if I was paying privately for it I'd have to question if it was worth the extra.

When you sit down you are given a menu pen and paper. You then complete your order on the slip and give it to the waiter. Really unusual but actually was good fun as we were a large group and were sharing starters so actually created a good deal of banter.

Service was very good. Steak was nicely cooked.

It was a shame that the person who took your coats on arrival was so sullen and unwelcoming. And they charge you for the service.

Not a place to go for a romantic evening. There seemed to be mostly large groups in when we were there.

Good food (except the sauteed potatoes which were soggy and grey!) - very family friendly and reasonably priced (for Norway!)
