Having read all the reviews on TA, we had dinner at this restaurant as a treat. We went there on a week night in December 2013, and we got a table straight away. The ambience was great, exactly what we expected. The waiters were friendly and efficient - they came to chat with us at our table and gave us tips on our trip!
Food iteself was delicious, the portions were expectedly small. For us, it just missed the wow factor, so we were somehow disappointed. It is probably still the best restaurant in Tromso though. If you want a gastronomic delight, go to France, Italy, London

Really nice atmosphere, look and service. It all had a warmth to it. The food was good too, but missed the final touch compared to the price.
Though a really nice experience all in all.

From the reviews we were expecting a quality meal. Sadly the food was nouvelle cuisine of the most mediocre kind, heavily disguised with cream and outrageously overpriced. A huge mistake. Avoid this tourist trap.

We may have ordered the wrong food, or expected too much after reading the reviews, but we were disappointed by our lunch here. All three of us ordered something different and none of us were really happy with the meal. The seasonings were not good, sort of weird. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the service was fine.

Norwegian home cooking at it's finest in this cozy restaurant with friendly staff. Located right across from the cathedral in the heart of downtown Tromso. I had the Norwegian salmon and a delicious homemade desert for lunch. This is a small restaurant and it get's very busy during the high season. Very reasonable prices compared to other options in Norway. I highly recommend this place for a meal.
