What can we say - this was brilliant. The owners are fantastic, the dogs are fantastic, the staff are fantastic.

It was one of the best things we have ever done. Even the dogs love it! And they look around at you if you aren't going fast enough!

Brilliant experience mad more so by the owners. We travelled around 17km on the sleds over an hour and half and would do it all again in a heart beat!

Book it with these guys, you wont regret it!

The dog sledding we did with Arctic Adventure Tours of Tromsø was excellent. The organisation was brilliant.

The dogs were all ready to go by the time we'd got into our gear.

The cold weather gear supplied was very well suited to the job required. We were out for a good 1.5 - 2 hrs and I didn't get cold at all. We were provided with thick padded coveralls, warm sturdy boots hats and gloves.

When we got picked up in a small minibus we saw a large coach leaving with another tour of some kind. I think we did much better as we had a smaller more intimate group.

When the tour had been booked I fully expected us to just sit 2-3 to a sled while a guide took us around.

Not a bit of it. We were dived into pairs and given a sled and a team of dogs each. One would control the sled while the other sat and enjoyed the ride. Fairly simple controls. Brake off to let the dogs charge, which also shuts them up, following the sled in front. Brake on to slow or stop them. If the stop for too long they howl like mad.

At the end of the trip we were given hot drinks and scrummy chocolate cake, before being dropped off back in Tromsø centre.

We had booked an evening trip in the hope of also seeing the Northern lights. Unfortunately it was too cloudy but it didn't put too much of a damper on it. Would definitely do it again. Maybe try it in the day time next time, or go on a multi day trip.

Book early.

We spent four hours or so with these lovely people. Friendly dogs who just want to run and run!!! The owners and staff spent time chatting to us all and made it a very personal experience. The ride was unforgettable and beautiful. We had a brilliant crash!! slowly sliding sideways into the snow but it was fun.

Great day out and worth every penny.

I would just like to thank Arctic Adventure tours for the fantastic experience dog sledding. We were incredibly lucky as the weather was ideal to appreciate the wonderful scenery. You are kitted out with warm weather clothing and boots so all you need to take is your camera. The dogs can't wait to get going and it is amazing how powerful they are. You sit in pairs with one standing up 'driving' and the other seated. There are ample opportunities to change over driver so don't be afraid as it is an exhilarating experience even if you feel a little nervous at first. The guide helps out if you get into any difficulties. Everyone is friendly and informative and we were lucky enough to see one of the newest additions to the 100 plus dogs who was only a few days old. All the dogs were very friendly and couldn't wait for some attention when you go around the kennels. After an incredible sled ride you finish with chocolate brownies and hot coffee.
