My wife and I stayed here for three days in late February 2012. This is a very new hotel but has the smallest double rooms I have ever experienced. It is almost impossible to access one side of the bed without drawing the curtains, and a tight sideways squeeze to get between the wall mounted TV and the foot of the bed. There is only room for one small bedside table and one chair, and barely room for any luggage without compromising access. There is no room for the circular floor mat, so it has been put under the bed!
The ensuite shower-room is of better proportion, but why have a corner shower cubicle with double doors, when one can't open one of the doors because of the positioning of the granite topped sink-unit?
Unfortunately, our room overlooked a building site where concrete breaking took place from dawn until dusk (06:45 until 15:30 whilst we were there), but that phase of demolition/building appeared to be over by the time we left.
The lack of lay-out planning also applies to the breakfast room, which is long and narrow with the self servery at the far end. Here, guests criss-cross the servery looking for bowls, spoons, cereals, and milk, all of which are in quite separate places. The same random layout applies to glasses and orange juice, cups and coffee machine, etc. The food choice was the same every day, but often in a different place. Moaning over, the hotel was very clean and warm and the staff were reasonably helpful.
