“A very good French restaurant inside the ring”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

If you want good French food with excellent wine I strongly recommend Le Salzgries.
The choice of food is limited but the selection of fishes and seafoods is better. The mixed seafoods plates are spectacular. Food is excellent and tasty. Portions are reasonable but my dorade portion was too small.
Wines selection is wide and excellent. Servers are not cheap when it comes to serve wines by the glass.
Meal for two with the wine cost is 80 €
We will return any time we want good seafoods

“Best French Cuisine in Vienna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

I have dined at Le Salzgries now a couple of times (on business and private occasions) in the last months and my experience has been consistently good: Excellent cuisine, nice ambiance, acceptable prices and the best of all:Very "un"-french service (i.e. friendly, attentive and competent).

Possibilities for improvement: One or two bottles of wine priced below EUR 30,- would ease the pain and the size of the main courses is very restrained (they could easily double and still be considered nouvelle cuisine !).

“Paris Vienna Paradis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

Certainly the best french restaurant in Vienna. Foie Gras, Moule, Fish, Steaks and hand made French fries. Champagne, great white and red wines. French waiters and delicious desserts. A nice atmosphere and a good choice for a French evening in the heart of Vienna.

“Very nice experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2011

we had a 3 course lunch menu, valued at approx. 35 EUR per person. You get to choose your dishes from normal menu. On the normal menu the starters are around 10 EUR, the mains around 20 EUR and the desserts around 8 EUR, so the lunch option is a good value.

For starter we had the snails and the special of the day which was a crab in jelly with sour cream and both were absolutely delicious. As main we had the entrecote and duck breast - both were very nice, but not extraordinary. As dessert we had small (three) selection of cheeses and delicious chocolate fondant. Overall great experience even though the service was a bit slow.

they also offer surprise dinner menu of 3 or 5 courses which is around 35 EUR and 60 EUR respectively. We would like to come back and give it a try.

Overall, very nice experience.
