“Great food and large plates!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Go for the Cream of garlic soup and the spareribs, they are excellent! My husband loved the Housesteak of beef. We also tried the Old Viennese soup but it wasn't something very special, i'd say regular. And don't forget the beers!!!
The service was great, the price was reasonable.

“Great food, nice place”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This is my first time in Vienna, I found this place here, and as the reviews were good decided to give it a try.
Food was really good, tasty and huge quantity, service was good and the price pretty good.
I will recommend this.

“Nice place to sit outside”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

Very nice place. Great seating outside on the pavement! Full weekends so book or come early. I agree with the reviewers regarding the size of the portions. Quality is good bit do not expect gourmet food. Very good beers - the lager and wheatbeer (Weissbier). We had black pudding that comes in pan with potatoes and side is sauerkraut, the Original Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb and Spareribs (you get 2 racks, so be very hungry), potatoes and sauerkraut......all that was less than 55 Eur. Good price for what you get. Recommended.

“GOOD AUSTRIAN CUSINE”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

I' ve been there 3 times and I always had excellent experiences : Spatzle , Rind Gulash and Hirsch Fillet (if I have good memories).
The restaurant has its typical Austrian atmosphere : good quality and large portions with a efficient service.
Price is really worthwhile.

“Food was Great, but dessert was to die for!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

This restaurant came as a recommendation from our hotel. We got to the restaurant and they asked if we had reservations. We didn't. The place was mostly empty and they were hesitant about giving us a table. They asked us if we would be able to eat in an 1 1/2 hours because they anticipating it getting busy and we said sure, although we found that question kind of odd since we were only a party of four. Anyway, we ordered our meal which was excellent, but when it was time for dessert, our waiter recommended the warm chocolate nut cake. It was absolutely amazing and I was happy that we had time for it. This restaurant was really very good, but personally, we think that the host could use some help in hosting. Yes, we were able to eat our meal in a timely manner and if we took even longer it would have been no big deal. We left and there still weren't a lot of people in the restaurant. That was our only gripe. After a while it became a joke amongst us. Other than that, everything was fine.
