Atmosphere was a pastiche of Austria; Lederhosen clad waiters, walls plastered with Viennese memorabilia and seats set in large wine barrels. The food was fine (have had better strudel but the schnitzel was good), service adequate but generally full of tourists.

We had lunch at Pürstner - a quite big place (which is not obvious when you see from outside). the place was filled with people, mainly locals. Good food, especially the homecooked gullasch was excelent (although the accompanying knödel was not very delicious). Good service, fine beer.

We didn't make an reservation but should have. We were early enough that they gave us a booth by the door. Further inside was fun and funky. The waiter was very helpful and friendly and the food was great.

have been to Vienna a few times and I must say this restaurant has the best wiener schnitzel I have had in Vienna, don't forget to order some gravy on the side with a couple of blonde beers :) and you wont be disappointing

Have been there with my family and couple of times with my work colleges, each time was great food and good comments from the others

service with a smile, the staff in tradition dress and very helpful, book ahead they are busy and I can see why

when in Vienna give stop here

We had a business dinner and were treated like kings with a variety of local beers (try the young, green beer! - looks like Bavarian Weissen bier) and a wide variety of local fares.
The menu is most suited to big meat eaters with the rack of ribs being legendary ( huge and served with a generous portion of roast potatoes and sauces).
I will definitely come back but the calorie count is excessive. Be warned, 3000kcal for two courses can be expected so make sure your belt has an extra hole.
