The Ring was above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived the staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was extremely spacious, well laid out, quiet and beautifully furnished. As an opera lover, it was a perfect location. The breakfast and restaurant was terrific and again the staff was outstanding. We have been to Vienna several times over the years and stayed at the Imperial and the Sacher in the past. We have now been converted and would only stay at the Ring. Special thanks to Front Office Manager Dorota Chruscinska and her staff.

Dear singitaSanFranci…

Thank you for taking the time to write such a pleasing review after staying at The Ring. Even if we are a luxury establishment, we believe that guests should be treated as friends, maybe that’s what makes us different. Next time you visit Vienna, it will be a pleasure to have you back at The Ring Vienna’s Casual Luxury Hotel.

Booking this hotel was a no brainer given the fabulous location, but the hotel itself is a place you want to spend time. The room was enormous and luxurious-far from the usual poky European hotel rooms which are sadly the norm. Our stay was delightful from the warm and friendly front desk to the thoughtful chocolates on our pillow each night.

A great base from which to explore Vienna.

Dear Blackers79,

Thank you for staying at The Ring and for taking the time to write a nice review. It’s good to hear that you liked the experience at The Ring, Vienna’s Casual Luxury Hotel. Good to know is that the chocolates on the pillow every night are Pischinger and they are typically Viennese. We hope to have you back soon.

this is a brilliant location for exploring the city. It is within walking distance of all major museums and th State Opera is few minutes away from the hotel. You can reach the hotel by taking the train to wien-mitte & the underground to kartner Strasse. the tram drops you a few doors from the hotel. the hotel staff is exellent..If you can't afford the opera prices , they broadcast the opear live just outside the state opera. The museum MUMOK is worth a visit as is the Kunsthistorisches museum..

Room Tip: room 606 was brilliant and very quiet

I spent a few days at the Ring Hotel which I had found based on research made on the internet as well as other travel sources. The experience did not disappoint: Great location, near all the historical attractions and the center of Vienna, great property and beautifully decorated rooms with all amenities and high quality beds, without ostentatious details, a nice fitness center and above all, which in my view makes the biggest difference, OUTSTANDING service: at the front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping. Clearly, the team is committed to do whatever it takes to make the guest experience comfortable and memorable, a distinctive trait of 5 star hotels. A particular shout out to Philippe B. and the all the young ladies at the Front Desk who were very helpful with travel arrangements and restaurant recommendations. This is a property where I look forward to staying again and will recommend to any visitor to Vienna who is looking to get pampered in one of the most beautiful cities in the worlds.

Room Tip: Any room probably has the same level of comfort. My room had a view onto the courtyard and was quiet...

Wonderful, helpful staff! We had a king size bed, 10' ceilings and a quiet room. Everything was within walking distance. Truly a great value in the heart of Vienna! If you're driving in using GPS the address spelling is Karntner Ring 8 (not Kaerntner and luckily our Europcar drop off was 3 blocks away.) also, Hertz is that close too!

Room Tip: we asked for a room facing the inner courtyard to assure no outside noise

Stayed for three nights in mid September to celebrate a birthday. The hotel was well placed for all the sights of Vienna and for local transport links. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean and although it was on the front of the hotel, very quiet. Staff seemed very professional. Ate in the restaurant one night and although the food was ok the menu did seem a little restrictive for a hotel of this quality. Having said that the service was very good indeed. Having walked around a lot of central Vienna we didn't see another hotel where the location would have improved our stay. We would happily recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

If you are visiting the opera, the location of the hotel could not be better: right across of the Staatsoper building. The hotel ambience is classic and modern at the same time. Rooms are large and beds very comfortable. Friendly and professional staff. I plan to stay at the Ring again.

Room Tip: I had a room overviewing the inner court yard; very quiet.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Ring - Relais & Châteaux is one of Vienna's most hip City- and Lifestyle hotels. Since its opening in November 2007 it pampers its guests with outstanding comfort and casual luxury in every detail. You find the hotel best located, in the middle of the centre of Vienna, the famous art-, culture and shopping mile Wiener Ringstraße in front of the door. At Kärntner Ring number 8 the historic façade has been lovingly renovated. Inside guests are welcomed by a modern, straight and nevertheless sensual interior. New elements were merged with old ones - for example the 100-year old elevator and the plastered walls of the "Ring Suite", combined with modern design. The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel, has 68 rooms and suites available, all luxuriously equipped and made of an inspiring mix of contemporary and classic design. Guests can choose between Casual-, Special, and X-ordinary rooms, as well as Cosmopolitan suites or the unique Ring Suite. The innovative illumination concept and the exquisitely made bathrooms complete the extensive feeling of living. The concept of warm brown and beige colors, refreshing pistachio and fiery red makes the hotel an amazing place. At the stylish hotelbar "Drings" by Le Zefire guests can expect the atmosphere of a French Club, great drinks, international music and cool people. On a regular basis live DJs will be contributing to the party feeling. The restaurant "at eight" is located on the ground floor and pampers the guests with outstanding international, toque winning seasonal aroma cuisine. Apart from the cuisine awarded with two toques, the innovative design concept impresses the guests. "Dressing up for the evening" - the restaurant at eight changes its clothes every afternoon and suits up to be the perfect evening restaurant for its guests. At The Ring Day Spa guests can shake off their stress from all-day life. The Spa, located on the 7th floor, offers an amazing view over the rooftops of Vienna. A fitness area with most modern training equipment and entertainment centre is available for the guests. Fresh fruit and water are on disposal for free. Changing rooms, safe deposit boxes, shower rooms and towels are available on location. For guests of the hotel, the fitness area is opened around the clock.
