The Ring is a beautiful hotel with generous sized, beautifully appointed rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful (and spoke flawless English). The bar, which offers very tasty infusion martinis, is a great place to meet before or after going out for the evening. As mentioned by other reviewers, the location is great and we walked everywhere. I would definitely stay at the Ring again.

Dear Almagrad.

Thank you for this nice review. We are happy that we made a crisp impression on you. We are glad you had a Martini at the Dring’s Bar, with a choice of over 50 different Vodkas and homemade infusion Vodkas we have quite a large choice if you like Martini’s.

Yours sincerely.

Upon checking-in we were cheerfully provided with a complimentary "I Prefer" upgrade to a Cosmopolitan Suite. In reviewing the rate and terms of the booking with the reception personnel, I was told that the rate did not include breakfast. I booked the room on the "IPrefer" site and booked the "Preferred Pride Rate" which stated "room plus daily breakfast and ring donut." When I showed the rate description to the reception staff member, she said she was sorry but the rate did not include breakfast. When I persisted she called "reservations" who confirmed that breakfast was not included. She apoligized saying the wording was "unclear". I was utterly dumfounded as it was clear as could be that breakfast was included in the rate. Being jet-lagged and grateful for the upgrade, I didn't push any further. Plus, other reviewers mentioned that breakfast was mediocre at best.

Now, on to the many good things about the hotel. The suite was large and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked well during an early season heat wave, the bath was comfortable with a separate tub and shower and separate toilet room. There was ample storage space for clothing. The location was perfect. The only things that were missing, and this is really picky, were a soap dish in the shower and lack of a sink in the toilet room.

This is such a well situated hotel with totally comfortable rooms that I would gladly return in spite of the shabby treatment regarding the breakfast issue.

Note that "I Prefer" members receive a complimentary room upgrade. The "I Prefer" website seemed to have better rates than the hotel's website, but both offered a multitude of special offers.

Room Tip: The X-Ordinary rooms are huge by any standard. The cosmopolitan suite was even better.

Dear PickyaboutHotels,

We would like to thank you very much for your stay at The Ring, Vienna’s Casual Luxury Hotel and the detailed review.

We are really sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the breakfast. The misleading description was changed immediately so that you can be assured this will not happen again.

We do hope that you still had a good time in Vienna and we will be able to welcoming you again at The Ring Hotel.

Best Regards.

The location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is 50m from the Opera in the Kartner Ring. From there it is a 5/10 min walk to the cathedral and no more than 20 min to any other relevant site in the center. Museums, the Palace, shopping areas, restaurants and parks are all in this radius.

We booked a Special Room with a very reasonable non-refundable rate, especially considering the quality of the hotel, the location and the fact that Viena is not a cheap city. The hotel seems new, so does the rooms and décor. Tasteful and spacious without losing the casual feel stated in the hotel name.

Wonderful young staff. Professional, yet cheerful.

I would definitely stay there again!

Dear Sarah F.

Thank you for this short but detailed review. It’s true that what makes the difference in our opinion are the little details, like our treats. We hope to have you back soon.

Really very recommended ! The location is unique as it is walking distance from all interesting points (opera, hofburg, musikerein, st stephen platz). Undisputable value for money. Eccellente service, very firendly staff always ready to provide useful tips for sighsteeing and shopping.
Rooms are very comfortable and cleaned and very silent as will despote the very central location of the hotel.
If we are back to Vienna we are staying again at This place.
