What began in 1618, has now developed into something for almost everyone. Not only is it a bar, deli, restaurant, outdoor Cafe it is also patisserie. Services with true Viennese Flair and fashion. The waiters are knowledgeable as well as entertaining , and you can watch the world go by as you drink a vintage beer.

I am Viennese but living in Switzerland since many years... whenever I come back to my home town, the first stop in the city centre directs me to "Schwarzes Kameel".
Regardless is you stop here for an aperitif and snack (the little sandwiches are delicious - BEST in town) or come back for dinner, you won't regret!!!
If you want to experience some true Viennese moments and watch the local "bold & beautiful" from the outdoor "Schani" garden... this is the place to be.

We stumbled on this café and highly recommend it--excellent imaginative cuisine, excellent service, and a history dating to 1618!

This restaurant is the Viennese connaisseur's favourite place. You'll be luck to get a table, even with advance booking. Food is very good. The restaurant is divided in a sandwich bar and a proper restaurant. It's packed day and night. Just can't get enough of it

Quite typical, with good Viennese food and service.
Quite expensive, though.
