Stopped at this famous restaurant for Wiener Schnitzel lunch during our recent trip to Vienna and were happy with our meal.
Arrived just after their opening, around 12.15pm and were seated right away. Restaurant filled up quite a bit during our lunch. Liked the inside restaurant layout, lots of table sections plenty of space. Staff were efficient yet friendly. Drinks and meals were served quickly after order made.
Ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (19.50 Euro) that was a nice meal. Veal was thin, soft and tender and the breading was crispy, light and tasted nice. Squeeze of lemon made this a nice schnitzel (rating 3.5 of 5). Side of Potato w/ parsley (2.80 Euro) that was lightly oiled, perfectly made (rating 3.5 of 5) complimented the schnitzel well. House Potato Soup (4.70 Euro) was good, nicely flavoured, tasted like a nice home-cooked bowl. (Rating 3 of 5)
Overall, a pretty good lunch, would have no problem returning here for another lunch. Restaurant is not too difficult to find, there are signs pointing the way once you get near, only 3-4 minutes walk from St. Stephensplatz and St. Stephens Cathedral.
