We went to this restaurant because it was in the 2012 best rated restaurants in Vienna book. The description of the restaurant's environment was right on point, but we felt it missed the mark on the food area from what we read. There were some lowlights and highlights to this restaurant.
Menu is authentic
Atmosphere and decor makes for a nice dining experience
Wine pairings with food offered; good selection of wines in general
Locals dine here, though it is on one of the tourist lanes
Service was professional, but not very friendly
The food did not justify the price; though good, it was nothing to write home about. There are some better examples of Italian food in the area.
Note: Very difficult for vegetarians at this restaurant--most things have chicken stock and substitutions cannot be made.
