“Tosca on the Big Screen”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

Though the day had been very wet, it cleared up sufficiently by the evening for us to enjoy the outdoor screening at the Vienna Film Festival of a performance of Puccini's opera "Tosca". Wonderful staging in front of the Rathaus, and a highlight of our Vienna stay.

“August is the time to enjoy the park behind it”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

The building is beautiful and best of all they had a movie festival presentation during the month of August which was supported by a food court from all over the world which was next to beer gardens, which completed the day after lots of walking around. Really nice experience

“Town Hall”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

Town Hall building is in Gothic style. Film Festival 2014 is being held until 31st August 2014. Amazing atmosphere in the evening with lots of different cuisines and drinks. The building itself is lovely to visit.

“Beautiful ”
Reviewed August 23, 2014 via mobile

If only all working government buildings could look like this. Certainly worth a walk by. If you can, try to get a tour.

Only thing that was unimpressive was the "plaza." It was just an open space with dilapidated tile/concrete and potholes. It isn't in keeping with the building itself.

“Rathaus”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

We visited Rathaus at night when a free film festival was being presented featuring the Vienna Orchestra performing works of Wagner. The music was wonderful and the Rathaus lighted at night was breath taking. There was also a street fair where food and drink was available just behind Rathaus.
