“Foreign vendors peddling junk”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

If you like eating street-meat this is the place for you. If you like eating in restaurants, this is not the place for you!

Basically, it's a bunch of foreigners peddling their junk. Nothing to see here.

Also, if you need a restroom, you have to use a public one that all the vendors use. Gross.

“dissapointing”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We went there expecting some real antiques to find, instead we found second hand cheap things, which were mostly overpriced. It is very difficult to find anything really interesting there. The place looks completely touristic, and if you want to see real antiques in Vienna, you should go elsewhere (I do not know where although)

“Interesting stalls”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

There was a lot of "junk" here, but the odd treasure, worth digging for. I found beautiful vintage corsets (5 Euros a piece), vintage buttons and laces, old books and a few rare treats on vinyl to take home to Australia. It was raining when I went, which made it unpleasant, but still worth the effort. Be careful, however. I bought some "antique" tools here, which later turned out to be fakes. As always, buyer beware.

“A lot of garbage being sold cheap”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Do you like buying garbage? Go there, it's cheap.
I put 3 stars because occasionally one can get lucky and find THE rare item at a great price.
My experience says that so-and-so items which are not garbage are sold very expensive.

“Not worth the detour”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

Deffinitely not worth a special visit. If you are looking for quality antiques or bargains this is not your best option. I expected from a city with such history and antiques tradition to have a wider variety but most of the market offers are second (or third..) hand clothing and old dilapidated stuff. The food market next to it is on the other hand very nice, full of good caffes and restaurants and very colorfull. The market is located in one of the streets with the nicest art deco achitecture in town.
