“a gastronmic jewel in Vienna”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

We looked for a fish restaurant in Vienna because we were getting tired of Schnitzel! Instead of an ordinary presentation of seafood, we were treated to an exceptional evening of good service and Great food! We started with a fish soup loaded with salmon, mussels and lots of flavour! The rocket salad was well presented and we added three succulent jumbo prawns which tasted like they had just been pulled out of the sea....so fresh!! Our Main included a combination of. Garlic crusted salmon and Monkfish. For landlubbers the veal was delicious and came with oxtail which came apart before the fork needed to cut it...so delicious! For those who come to Vienna and want something different and much more interesting than the traditional fare...this place is a must try!!

“VERY DISSAPOINTING”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Very bad Service, just to geht the soup took more than one hour - then they recognized they forgot the amuse gueule - served later - main dish kind of O.K. but not worth the price. Waiters did not come to the table so if we wanted more to drink or bread you had to get up and catch the waiter..desert took another hour to come - bill was as high as 2 star Restaurant but service is better in any cantine.

“Great food but slow service”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

We selected Fisherman Tom because of its location near the Konzerthaus. The food was great and very inventive. We liked the variety on the menu and found that everything we ordered arrived looking great and tasting the same. The place is very comfortable, although there were only a few others there when we were there. The problem was we were in a hurry and the restaurant just wasn't. We ended up with a main entree that we had to swallow in a minute before dashing out the door to our concert. As we left the restaurant (and our already paid for dessert) behind, the waiter suggested we return after our concert. We did and they provided our dessert and added a complimentary beverage. Class place that we would certainly go to again, just be sure of the time.
