We booked this hotel for a 3 night city break. We fancied staying somewhere a bit different and this seemed to fit the bill.
It is in a great position giving easy access to great shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms modern and well- equipped. During the afternoons, complimentary tea, beer, wine canapés and ice-creams are available which sets this apart from other boutique hotels I have stayed in recently. The breakfast was very good, though the waitresses seemed to get our orders incorrect each day we were there, but these errors were corrected quickly.
There is no restaurant on site, but I would highly recommend the Hollman salon which is just around the corner in a pleasant courtyard and owned and run by the hotel.
The only real complaint I have is that the young friendly receptionists sit at a desk which is very close to rooms 15 and 16; we were in 15 and were woken before 7am each morning with loud chatting/conversation which is not really what you want. Also, the cleaning trolley seemed to live right outside our room on a permanent basis.
Otherwise, everything about staying here was enjoyable and relaxing.More
