“Good typical restaurant”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

It is situated in a very quite area, at a walking distance from the centre.
From outsides it looks quite modern and inside the atmosphere is not very formal.
They offer many fish dishes and local cuisine; the menu is written both in German and English language.
Waiters are very kind and explained us (in English language) all we asked about.
We tasted a soup (they bring you a pot with some meet and pour the broth into the pot directly in front of you), a wiener schnitzel and a gulash and everything was tasteful.

“Pleasant dinner”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday night at Floss on recommendation of our hotel. It's a 10-15 stroll from Stephansplatz. The street level dining area was full (about a dozen tables), the downstairs was pretty empty. Nice atmosphere, but nothing particularly Austrian about it. Food, which was typically Austrian, was well prepared and well presented. Very fresh local ingredients, which is part of the attraction. Service was attentive. Moderate price range. My only complaint concerns one of those little things, the bread. It consisted of about 6 small slices wrapped in a linen napkin and placed in a too-large basket. It seemed like they were trying to hide the bread. Also, they charged about 2 euros for a basket (at least for the second basket). Charging for bread left a bad impression with me. Better to absorb it in the cost of the meal. Also, our bill was incorrect, which I will assume was an honest mistake. They were very apologetic. Overall, worth a try.

“Great Value!”
Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

We went on the recommendations of our hotel and it was a great dining experience. The restaurant was spread over two floors and we sat downstairs which was decorated in inviting shades of yellow and browns. Service was attentive and you could feel that the service staff took pride in the quality of the food that they serve. I had the pumpkin soup with dumplings which was rich and thick... one of the best I had in a while! For mains, the fried chicken was marinated nicely and was firm but juicy. The sides of warm potato with the cold cucumber was unusual but worked well in rounding up the heavier and oilier fried chicken. As the portions were relatively large, we were too full to order any dessert. The bill for two soups, two sides and two glasses of wine was about 60 euros... exceptionally good value! Our best meal in Vienna!

“Exclusivity has its price.”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

Voos was very good and tasty. Staff is friendly and thoughtfull. Interior is modern but Austrian. Our table was near the door, so when people came in or went out we had a cold wind. The combination of quality, quantity and prices is not quite right. We find it a little overpriced, especially the deserts. But: a great experience.

“Great Wienner Schnitzle”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Lovely restaurant, we went there on recommendation from TA... Was great food, Carpaccio & weiner schnitzle both fantastic.. Quite empty for a Saturday night, however it is in a business district, so imagine it is busy in the week. IT was a taxi ride from where we were staying, however it is close to the the Stephenplatz area.
