Good for: Local cuisine
Dining options: Late Night, Reservations
Neighborhood: Inner City
Description: The focus is entirely on Austrian products, which chef Thomas Wohlfarter combines in his dishes: Viennese classics and those that simply "reveal" themselves, because they awaken in Thomas Wohlfarter the desire to make them into something very special. And when also the wine is really good, sommelier Hermann Botolen´s heart is warmed. Then his eyes light up and his enthusiasm carries over to the guests. Then one can only advise: "Order this wine!" The guest will be happy.

We returned with great expectations having visited last year, and were delighted to find that this lovely restaurant is even better than we remembered. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, and the service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely evening and look forward to returning.

Take your time while walking in the center of Vienna, have a lunch or dinner in this small, high quality restaurant. They have both Viennese menu and their own.
Good vine selection. Middle-egged waiter will give proper recommendation what to eat what kind of vine to choose. As for the lunch I recommend to take shellfish soup and scallops with artichokes. Tasty, well decorated and high quality dishes will make you feel more the satisfied with your day in Vienna.

Dom Beisl is a hidden gem. It is an phenomenal 1 michelin star restaurant. Great food with very reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly. The chef is personable and ultra-friendly. We ate here back to back and had great time. The wine selection is also fantastic. The kitchen is in the front. We had an opportunity to talk to the chef and took picture with him.

Dining experience at this restaurant was quite enjoyable. The restaurant is small but in good location on a small street off Stephen Cathedral. Kitchen is right in the front entrance so you can see the chef actually preparing your meals. We ordered the 46euro 3 meal course dinner which I thought was a great deal for the quality of the food and location of the restaurant. Food was delicious from the amuse bouche to desert. Flavor in each course was well balanced and enhancing the main ingredient of each dish. Ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall we had a great meal.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely prix fixe lunch at Dom Beisl, which is located close by the Stefansdom in central Vienna. We picked the two course lunch, which consisted of a delicious trout salad and a very nicely prepared main course of roast chicken. The restaurant has a nice selection of wines by the glass. We did not have the dessert, but what the other diners were enjoying looked nice. The two course prix fixe lunch was 18.90 Euros -- very good value. Highly recommended!
