It costs 9 euro and it gives a good commentary on what you see. It's a good way of getting orientated when you arrive. And you get a ride on a heritage tram! Lovely!

We bought the 3 days pass for 17 Euro, and had the unlimited trams ride around Vienna. The ring road tram line covered most places of interest in Vienna. It is so convenient to take trams around the city.

We took the Ringstraßen Tram this Weekend. One ticket was 9 €, which is more than 3 times the normal fare for Vienna (2,40€) I actually didn’t expect too much, and so at least I was not disappointed. The tram itself is of no difference to the common ones in use and it drives along the historical Ringstraße for about 25 minutes. Passengers have the possibility to Plug their earphones (distributed for free by the controlleur) in a device, where a recorded voice available in 5 main languages provides them with history about the city center. overall, it might be interesting for tramway nostalgics but I recommend those who are keen to discover the Ringstraße to just talk a walk in their own, equipped with a good tour book.

Instead of spencing a lot of money on the Hop on Hop off busses you might want to think about going on a city tour trip with Tram D. This Ring tram passes A LOT of interesting places for sightseeing. For instance buy a Vienna Card for about 6 euros. This tram passes Belvedre palace, get off the tram hee and visit the beautiful gardens (free). Get back on the tram and you will pass the fountain of Hochstrahlburnnen and de Karlskirche, the Opera building and the Maria Therisienplats. From here you can walk to the Hoffburg Palace in a few minutes. At this palace you can find the Sisi Museum, the Lipizaner riding school and much more. Get back on the tram again and your next stop will be the Parlement building and the "Rathaus" In short, you can spent a whole day riding this tram line and see a lot of Vienna! Don't forget to bring your camera with you !

Super views, interesting plan, lack of tourists and high price. Next time I hope to find a solution for you
