Loved hearing about Sisi's intriguing story. The museum was very interesting, especially the recreated interior apartments. They gave you a glimpse into the life and personality of beautiful Empress Elizabeth. Her dresses, jewelry, and portraits were especially fascinating. I also enjoyed Emperor Franz Joseph's chambers and hearing of his devotion for his beloved Sisi. The china, glass, silver, porcelain, etc. that was exhibited at the beginning of the tour is also very interesting. I would suggest spending your time wisely though because it became tiring as we tried to examine and appreciate every piece. The audio guide was very helpful.

A great museum to learn about Sisi and to see restored interior of the her apartment. Make sure to take an audio guide. It can be very crowded inside.

I had read a biography of the Empress Elizabeth "Sisi" prior to coming to Vienna so already knew the story of this tragic woman. The Sisi Museum was well done, both from the perspective of telling her story, but also of displaying extant personal effects. I found particularly poignant the replica of Sisi swinging during her carefree childhood, in great contrast to the difficulties and heartaches she encountered as an adult.

It was really enjoyable to look at the beautiful dresses that Sisi wore and the beautiful rooms of that time period. The china on display was also very beautiful. It was interesting to know more about her background as she grew up and how she felt about her life. It is interesting enough museum that one should allow at least 1/2 to 1 hour more than the last entrance times into the museum to fully appreciate all of the dishes and cutlery plus the other displays.

We learned more about the Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife who came to be known as Sisi and the legend that surrounds her. The ticket can be bought with entry into the Schoenbrunn Palace. It also includes a furniture museum. All three were great. Also, when you buy the ticket, there is no waiting at the next museum in line to purchase a ticket. So you get in very quickly. The collection of house china alone was worth it!
