We liked the service, the wine choices and their grilled vegetables are tasty. Mochi is probably the best place for sushi.

We tried to make a reservation for this restaurant, unfortunately they never answered the phone. But we took our chances and were lucky. There was still one free table on the terrace outside. We took the Mochi for 2 platter. A largeassortiment of rolls, sushi, sashimi and nigri. And although everything was fine, the fish did not taste extremely fresh, but the warm rolls were absolutely magnificent. So I was a bit disappointed that I had ordered this dish and did not order some of the warm preparations.

Also they offer blankets on the terrace. Which makes it more cosy and keeps the girls happy/warm

We had to wait outside for 20 minutes even if we had reservation. And when finally seated, we had to stay very tight as they did not want to loose 1 table and gave it to a couple.
A waiter spilled soya sauce to us, but that can happen sometimes. So there are no hard feelings for that.
We took a mixture of sushi sets as we were group of 6, but i was really impressed by only one type of it - something with suit sause and avocado. The rest was quite average.

At the end of the evening most of us were not feeling full even if we took quite a bit.

Coming from San Francisco where we have so many good ethnic food, I felt like I was in San Franciso all over again. Mochi is clearly is one if the best Japanese fushion food in Austria.. Everything from spinach salad, Kimchi, to Sashimi and Nigiri were all excellent.. It is definately a must restaurant to visit in Vienna..

Mochi and Motto are definitely my favorite restaurants in town. Similar to Motto this place is very trendy, run by young people who know what they are doing. The food is always delicious and never a surprise. As we don't have many cool places like Mochi in Vienna, it is always booked, so make sure you call first to make a reservation. And, we call it little Nobu ;-)
