I booked this hotel but was told it was full when i reached the hotel. The staff sent me to another Arthotel called Enzian hotel which is lower star rating(3star basic hotel)which is very far from the original Boutique six hotel i get charged for.

The hotel room i was relocated to was lower rating, outdated , small and dark. It was also away from shopping street. Enzian hotel staff was also rude and passed a remark'you dont have to stay here if you dont want to!'

As a frequent world traveller, this was the worst hotel scam i had come across.this hotel basically charged you for a 4 star hotel then send you to a 3star hotel which doesnt look anything like what you paid for.and they refused to partially refund for what you paid for.

Do not book this hotel unless you dont mind this scam.i am sharing this information here because i dont want other travellers to suffer the same scam.

Hotel Leonardo is a better choice of hotel if you are looking for alternative in vienna. It is nearer to Westbanhof train station and reliable.
Please see the photo below from Enzian hotel which i was sent to. As you can see, the room is so dark and small. Yet, i was charged the original 4star hotel.

This could have been a nice hotel, it had all the potential. At arrival we got a big room with one big bed. We are 3, 2 adults and 1 9-yearold. Only pillows, blankets and towels for 2. When we asked for a extrabed the receptionist kept talking about their policys, that children up to 12 (!) sleeps in the same bed as the parents, instead of helping us. He was not very nice or helpful. The next morning when a lot of people left, we got a extrabed, they just didn't have one at arrival. No excuses. They forgot to clean our room one of the day. And the most funny thing, they call it an arthotel. But no art what so ever in the room, only one carpet on one wall and the rest white walls. The balcony to the garden was a fireascape with no chairs. People smoking right outside in the garden so you could smell the smoke in the room. The breakfast room was to small for the big amount of guests.

So, no, I have stayed in many hotels in Vienna, some I visited again, this one, not. I can not recomend the hotel.

Old beds, stains, locked safes, curtains falling, mini fridges that don't work... avoid unless no other option...yes that's a collapsed bed! Breakfast was average and unfortunately nothing welcoming about the place or artistic!

Would not stay here again.

Public areas look amazing. Breakfast was fine. Location is good. Good value. However.......

Hotel is part of ‘smiling hotels’ group. They should have told the Reception staff who hadn’t a smile between them.

Hotel needs a refurb. Curtains in room held up by hope. Mould in shower unacceptable. Previous hotel logo in lift looking very scruffy.

We went here as the last stop of our honeymoon in june. We were a little later in the afternoon to arrive (5'ish) and called the day before to book a spot in the parking garage. The parking garage is very narrow, but it is do able to get in there. We booked a superior room instead of a standard room for a little more luxury, upon arrival we were send to a room on the 4th floor, I will include pictures, this was by no means a superior room, not even a standard room. It was a single person room with an extra foldable bed. We went back down to the reception, and the receptionist kept on telling us that 'according to the system this is a superior room' even after showing the pictures. He send us to another hotel of the chain, claiming that that would also be a superior room (even though that hotel doesn't have a difference between standard an superior). All in all not a good experience, our room was prepaid and still they didnt have it, we got more then hour delay on a already long day. Wouldnt recommend.
