Congratulations for the nice hotel, good breakfast and warm hospitality! Good position close to the historical city center and not so far from Vienna international Aiport. Recommend this hotel to anyone will be in Vienna!

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on tripadvisor, we always prefer a boutique style or independent hotel to the larger chains, and we were not disappointed.
Excellent check in, staff speak very good English and a lovely standard room; we were in the mezzanine room 24 I think with red walls and a gold ceiling and a great piece of art I called the 'Happy Horse'. It faced the church opposite and I was worried about the potential noise from the street but this was not a problem with the double glazed windows. The bedroom was pretty large for European standards and the bathroom was massive and spotlessly clean, I think the young lady showed us the room said it had been refurbished recently.
The location was excellent, quiet residential area, 5 mins walk to Museum quarter and trams and underground which we used quite a lot, it was a doddle with one ticket you can use on bus, tram or underground.
Breakfast was also amazing, an excellent choice every morning. I had let the hotel know in advance that I was gluten free and I had my own little basket of gluten free rolls every morning, much better than the usual cardboard gluten free bread you get.
We also ate out both nights at restaurants the hotel recommended, both were excellent
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend, it ticked all the boxes for us and we're very picky usually

Stayed in a lovely spacious suite, which was clean and well equipped. The lounge/breakfast area is very relaxing and the food and drinks are also good.

Best part for me were the staff. All helpful. All friendly. All competent. Thank you.

If I go back to Vienna I don't think I would stay anywhere else.

My third stay here. Am writing this only on my 2nd day of a 5-day visit. On arriving, realized my rechargeable camera batteries were no longer able to hold charge! So Michelle at reception recommended a camera/ electronics store nearby. Found two new batts. Probably saved my trip.

And the suite....very cozy. Appsebach suite. Separate BR and LR, separate walkin closet with safe and luggage shelf. At night, dead quiet.

The whole crew deserves top marks.

Thanks Alex, Michelle, and Co.

This hotel provides a wonderful haven to return to after a day of sightseeing. The staff are great and provide a great service.
Room - a bit quirky with all you need. Curtains provide a blackout so sleeping off jet lag is not an issue. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. My only suggestion is a night light for the bathroom so you don't need to turn a light on if you need the bathroom during the night to find it!
Breakfast - buffet style with eggs cooked to order. Should meet the needs of all guests!
Bar - great for an evening drink after dinner. Lots of places to eat in the immediate area.
Walking distance to inner stadt and all tourist attractions.
All in all a great place to stay. Will stay again one day!

Spent 3 nights here 28th April. It feels like a small hotel and has individual caring service and individually decorated rooms.
The free afternoon tea and cake is a welcome rest from sight seeing. Bar prices are very reasonable. Good location close to Vienna,s excellent underground system and easily walkable to major sights.
A great location for a tremendous weekend

Room Tip: Some rooms were smoking rooms, make sure you book non smoking if this is what you want

What was undoubtedly one of the best things about this gorgeous hotel, aside from the groovy décor, deliciously abundant breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea was the very kind and friendly attitude of all the staff. It felt like staying in a cool friend’s house, where nothing was too much trouble and staff were natural and genuine. None of that hideously forced hospitality-speak that so many other establishments deal out to their customers while so obviously not giving a damn about them. Simple things like offering guests at check-in a much needed glass of water before getting down to business. Why, oh why, do so many other places fail to see that it is this sort of personal touch that will give us warm fuzzy feelings towards the Alstadt for many years to come.

It's also in a great location close, but not too close, to the Museum Quarter. And the beautifully crafted restaurant and café recommendations couldn't have suited us better.
