We were in Vienna for an event and the event organisers put us up here - clean and functional and in easy distance of public transport. Only the rooms in the new wing have internet.

Starting with the pros, Brigittenau is cheap quite good acommodations. Remember it is a hostel, not a hotel, so you should not expect luxury itens, like room service and TV in the bedroom. The place is really tidy and clean, and you always see staff working to keep things like this. Besides, their efforts to build a `green` hostel are notable. The number of toilets is enough and the water was always hot during my stay. Something really amazing about this place is their breakfast, which is included. It is really worth trying and I would say it is the best breakfast I have ever had in hostels/hotels I visited. Well located (5 minutes away from a train station).

The cons: This place is not a hostel where you come to have fun and meet people. It could be. It has lots of nice things, but it just isnt. I havent seen many young people, like I did in other hostels. It is definitely not a place for partying. Maybe it can be a good thing, it depends on what you are looking for. Another bad point is that they will charge you if you want to use some of their games in the `funny room`. I mean, what is the point of this? They have really nice pool tables, pinball... but nobody uses that because you have to pay at least 1 euro.

I am going to be neutral about the staff. Some are friendly, some are not. In the end, all of them are going to help you if you need, but dont expect lots of kindness from everybody.

Can't fault this hostel on budget or functionality. Lounge kitted out with plugs and free wifi, lunch and dinner is extremely cheap at only £5 for 3 courses and the free breakfast is also great. We were also so pleased as we had booked a dorm and when we arrived we were given a private dorm! However, don't come here expecting fun. When we were here there was a school trip with loads of children who were quite annoying and really noisy and so we felt a bit like we were on a school trip too.. The location isn't bad but it's not great. Not in the nicest area (not that it's dodgy but there's nothing there) but about 10 minutes from a well served metro station. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Would recommend but wouldn't necessarily stay here again.
