“Very interesting museum worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

The museum is full of interactive hands-on exhibits and so offers a very fun way (especially for kids) to understand the various scientific principles and presents complex technological advances in a way that it is easy for everyone to understand . If someone has even a small interest in technology they will not be bored in this museum. The museum is pretty large it has four floors of exhibits . For technology fans worth a visit .

“Best ratio of hands-on and quantity of exhibits”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

As the title says, it is far from the largest museums of its kind by the number of exhibits. But its strength lies in well selected exhibits for each area, without overloading it for example with tens of locomotives and coaches or other heavy machinery interesting only to handful of engineers. There is a bit of science, not only technology in there. Quantity of exhibits which you can try is by far one of the best I have seen and for schoolchildren this is the best way to learn. And for young, the best way to fill several hours. For instance, there is a real locomotive brought there, with real recorded sounds of engines, which react to the commands.
It is important to me and other foreign visitors that the descriptions are dual-languaged, in german and english, which is a nice touch.
You should take at least 2-3 hours to go through everything.

“Fun science”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

If you have any appreciation for science & history you will enjoy this museum. It is 3 floors divided into sections about transport, electricity, music, robotics, & many others. Throughout there are interactive exhibits breaking down concepts to physics elements. You could easily spend half the day there looking through everything. There is a nice cafe within that wasn't ridiculously expensive. Seems like a good place to take elementary school aged children

Remarkable collection of machinery that is well worth a visit.
From ancient lathes to early cars and trains, this place is fun for all the family.
Lots of interactive exhibits to keep smaller minds busy.

“Fun mix of exhibits from the home, transport, nature and robotics”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

Our experience certainly reflects what many other reviewers have said; it's a huge eclectic collection that would take hours to go through in detail, to be really engaged you have to have a mind that finds technology and its evolution interesting, if you feel yourself beginning to wane then go play with the robots! The building does get a bit warm and stuffy - but it's not unmanageable. There are lifts to all floors and the parking lot is big. The café on the ground floor has friendly service. This venue is a short walk from Schonbrunn Palace so combining the two makes a great day out for families.
