“Educational and fun for everyone”

It was freezing outside today so my friend and i, both tech nerds, wanted to come check this place out. First off, be sure you take u4 and get off at schönbraun. Also, have a good 2 hours to spend here and bring change for a locker (deposit) i really enjoyed the museum and i am amazed at how they put so many things in one place. Wow, it was just a really nice afternoon spent there and i feel like i couldnt have gotten the experience elsewhere.

“Great place!”

What an experience! It was the best museum of Technologies I have ever been! So many things to see, so many things to learn, so many different categories of technology! My favorite was the transportation category, where you can see from bikes to airplanes! Perfect if you want to spend some time away from boring museums with paintings and statues! PS Don't go there with a woman!

“Very interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

We started on the fourth floor and walked into an interactive area that the kids probably love. As adults, we were hoping the whole place wasn't like that. Well, all we had to do was turn in another direction and we were hooked. Planes, trains, cars, computers, it went on and on. We were there about three hours and never left the fourth floor except for something to eat and coffee.

We enjoyed. It is large, in a beautiful building with a modern entrance. There is enough to see and very many activities for children. They can try how things work, also parents can be satisfied.

“The best attraction in Wien”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

I have visited Wien in early December with friends and the most that I loved from our 4-day stay was the visit at Technishe museum. As it was Sunday, very cold, and the shops are not working - our wives came too.
I can say that we all loved the museum and spent nice 4 hours inside.
On the 1st floor there are many things exposed where adults and kids can practically try and learn about electricity and physics - it was great experience for me too. On last floor there are also practical exhibitions for telegraph and media (you can even sit in news studio and have you recorded as TV journalist and watch yourself on a nearby TV screen)
On the rest of the floors there are cars, trains, plains and moto bikes that were awesome.
Something very good for local people is that the museum organize during the weekend different workshops (mainly for the kids) where you can do interesting experiments.
Because of the cold, we took a chance to lunch in the museum restaurant and everything was very delicious and tasty (actually it was a vary good idea to spearate the walk on 2 parts and have some meals and coffee inbetween - this is how we were not so tired at the end).
Not last is the store near the entrance/exit where you can find incredible toys for everyone.
