“Beautiful, must see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

One of the more beautiful avenues, that gives you a good overview of different architectural styles in Vienna.

Take one of the regular trams to see parts of it, then get out and explore the rest of the city, the shops and venue on the ring might be interesting, but not necessarily the best place to be in Vienna

“Take a tram, the most affordable way to see Vienna.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

-You have to take the tram!
-Only after going 2 rounds, then I started to appreciate the city planing & how it has enriched the city life.

-You need a guide book to link what you see on the streets with the information which you are unaware of.
-For first timers, this place is daunting, but don't worry, you'll get used to the surroundings!

“Ring around the roses?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

This road is literally a ring. It goes in circles. All the major attractions and monuments fall in or out or around the ring. We bought a hop-on/hop-off bus pass for one day for ? 20 per person.
There are three routes on this buses which goes around this ringstrasse and you can get down at any stop see the monument or artraction and get back on the bus.
Highly recommended for people with difficulty in walking long distance and people on a leash for time.

“Good way to get oriented”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

Taking a tram ride around the ringstrasse is a great way to start your visit to Vienna. Don't bother with the yellow ring tram, the audio guide is terrible. Instead, download Rick Steve's audio tour for free on your smart phone or iPod. He gives a nice overview and you don't have to pay other than your transportation pass.

“Exquisite Vienna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

I stayed at a hotel in the Ring and was able to enjoy all of the offerings of Ringstrasse. You can either take the tram or enjoy the sites by walking around on foot. There are alot of attractions in this area. I felt safe walking alone at night especially since the streets tend to be crowded with tourists at all times of the day.
