“Vienna City Center Area”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

This is a circular road surrounding the Innere Stadt district of Vienna, Austria and is one of its main sights. It is typical of the historical style called Ringstraßenstil (Ringstraße Style) of the 1860s to 1890s. It is amazing all the different types of architecture in the Ringstasse, so take a drive around it to see all the amazing buildings.

“Not really a "must do"”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

The most interesting parts (like the Museum Quarter, Rathaus areas) it is better to walk around rather than pass on a tram and others are not worth the hype. Also, if you want to save some Euros, I would recommend just taking tram 1 and then tram 2. Together they follow the Ringstrasse circle.

“A feat of old engineering”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

This is a great tram system that's existing in the world. So beautiful and so well connected. The Vienna Tram system are a marvel of old world charm. Riding in it and staring out of the window as the shops pass by and the signs on buildings from a bygone century trail past the tram, it is a unexpected reflection of the self and one's relationship to the past. Perhaps somewhere in the tram journey, a building, person, lamppost or advertising post (old cylindrical posts) tugs at your hearts' string making the city a memorable visit. Don't miss riding the Viennese Trams
