Lovely front aspect. Go at night and stand in front of water feature and take shot with reflection in water. May need tripod or someone's shoulder to get clean shot.

Church paintings were beautiful but had temporary scaffolding everywhere as they have been doing restorations for the past 11 years. Unbelievably they have a lift to get to the top dome right in the center of the church and stairs up to the top using the scaffold.
Not a pretty sight and quite unnerving once you exit lift and start climbing. Be brave as dome murals are within an arms reach once you reach top and are stunning.
About 10 euro for an adult and student to enter.

I am ok with heights, but this was another story. It is a temporary structure and I am sure is safe, but I hated standing on the scaffolding and had to go straight back down. My husband didn't seem disappointed the we were not staying up there :) Beautiful church. Just be braver than me.

There was a beautiful church, especially there was famous for ceiling mural painting. The church was very beautiful inside and outside, and I could go on top by elevator and stair. The mural painting was very beautiful to enjoy. The steel frame for construction was not good to see.

This is a beautiful church, that dominates Karlsplatz.
For 8 Euros (5 Euros if you have the Vienna card), you get to enter the church, visit a tiny museum and take an elevator to the upper part of the church.
From there, it's a steep set of stairs to the top – just make sure you don't look down, if heights aren't your thing.
The church itself is stunning, especially the altar (with the huge golden "Yehovah" inscription) and the painted ceiling.
The further you climb up the stairs the more you appreciate the fine details of the church's walls and ceiling.
However, do not expect great views from the top end of the church, as most of the windows do not allow any enjoinment of the view.
8 Euros (or even 5), are a bit too much, if you ask me, despite the fact that the church DOES look stunning.
