One of the amazing highlights of my entire trip to Vienna was the Wiener Riesenrad, the oldest surviving Ferris wheel in the world.

Simply GLORIOUS!

Close to city center. Typical Hard Rock. I had the Fiesta burger. Ordered medium/well got medium. Service was prompt. Restaurant was clean but small for a chain restaurant. Good for families on vacation.

Went here whilst waiting to go on a Danube River cruise (the hour long one not the holiday). Went specifically to go on the Ferris wheel. Bought a dual ticket for the wheel and the little train €11.70. The weather was fabulous, the visibility great and the views spectacular. Some of the rides were closed (early in the season so probably under going maintenance ready for the season to begin). A must do when in Vienna.

Prater it self is very amazing thing to view, from the top you can admire skyline of Vienna. You can even early romantic dinner in one of the wagons of Prater. It is very busy place and they are long lines to wait, toilets are just before enter wagons. Adult price is €10 child is €4,50 it is wort to go once a lifetime. Other attractions in Prater can free your blood for a moment but worth to go if you have strong enough hart to take it. If you travel by Metro take line U1 to Praterstabe.

a must when in vienna, such a piece of history as the wheel overlooks the town. the cars are quite big so you are with quite a few other tourists but a lovely experience.
