If you are a serious music lover and want a serious Mozart concert, this is probably not the place for you. It is a blatant tourist evening largely put on for tour groups at an exorbitant price (we paid €84). It is in the lovely Golden Hall of the Musikverein, so you are paying for the ambience rather than the music. The orchestra play in period costumes but not on period instruments (not that the audience would have been bothered). The concert is popular Mozart pieces rounded off with the obligatory Blue Danube and Radetsky march. It's good enough fun and I enjoyed it well enough, but you van get better Mozart concerts in the UK at a third of the price.
