Founded in 1776, the Museum today owns masterpieces by Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Duerer, Rembrandt etc. These collections are presented in temporary exhibitions. The Batliner Collection "From Monet to Picasso" is permanentely on display and shows the most important works by artists from the age of modernism. “Well worth a visit”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

A very good collection of art, really enjoyed the exhibits that were there at the time, and there always seems to be something good on. It's easy to get to and a great way to spend time in Vienna. Beautiful building inside, and it was nice to see the state-rooms.

I dock a star because we both felt that it was a little over-priced for its size, compared to some other art museums that we have been to.

“Interesting”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

During the time i was in Vienna in Albertina were held 2 beauiful and intresting exibitions: Heldwein and Mattis. It was very interesting and the information in the aydioguide showed us lots of new things. And, by the way, it's open until 21 pm on Wednesday.

“Charming, Cultural, Creative Art Museum”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We spent several hours at this beautiful, centrally located art museum seeing a well-curated exhibit entitled Matisse & the Fauvists. The building is quite well preserved and the other permanent exhibits were also worth seeing also. There are a lot of stairs, but there is elevator access as well.

“very disappointing collection and false advertising!”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

I was startled by the art work displayed at the time when i went there. everything looked like it had been done by a 12 year old and i would not call anything i saw in there 'art'. and a lot of what i saw in there i found very disturbing. there was maybe 3-4 paintings out of 1000 that i actually appreciated. AND in my lonely planet book it claimed that there were works from michael angelo, picasso, and leonardo da vinci. there were none there though! i was so disappointed and it was such a waste of money.
