We had a chance to see a special exhibition of Magritte this year. Never miss this place- it is a must! It's in the center so you can hardly miss it.
If you like Art you have to go-

I loved the collection of impressionist, cubist, modern art. Chagall, Beckmann, Miro and alot of German and Russian early 20th century artists. A lot of styles I love were covered and not too many so you weren't overwhelmed. Like the Leopold it work s because less is more. The Maximilian 1st exhibition in the basement was fabulous. The meters-long triumphant processional march wall painting was incredible. The woodcut version was also very beautiful. I would highly recommend the Albertina. Along with the Leopold and the MAK it is my favourite.

Tucked away in one of the amazing Hapsburg Rooms you suddenly see a Raphael drawing. Then in the exquisite Wedgwood Room you find the most enchanting pottery reliefs set on themes of earth fire and air. You can try to waltz - whilst no one is looking - in the ball room. The Muses were amazing. The exhibition on the top floor has some amazing works of art form Monet to Picasso (at this time) + is quite eclectic.

There was a Monet exhibit in town a couple years ago. We went. One other time there were the drawings of daVinci. "Check your local listings" to see what they have going on. If you're really into museums for the sake of going to a museum, go for it.

A very nice collection with an interesting mix of classic and contemporary. We spent about 1 1/2 hours there and didn't see everything. A great stop on a rainy day
