Visited here during a Klimt exhibition, which was excellent. The permanent exhibits of drawings was fascinating, as many artists were highlighted, incl Dutch and Italian masters.

There were posters in the city giving you the impression that there were lots of Monet and Picasso paintings at Albertina but there were few Monet paintings so we were disappointed but the state rooms more than made up for the initial disappointment.

I did not get inside this building but is a must see, it stands out as an imposing structure just off the State Opera House and adjacent to the Butterfly House and would make for a great day of seeing around Vienna. Will definitly be back to see this and other museums in the City.
