Just spent a night there and was very happy. For the price, it’s amazingly convenient and clean. Right in the middle of town and very close walking distance to schwedenplatz and the Vienna Airport bus as well as to all major sights in the old town. Close to eateries , churches, shopping and mostly everything too. In fact close to everything for a fraction of the cost of staying in the heart of city. Breakfast was good and the people at reception and breakfast were very kind and helpful. Linen and beds were functional and clean . Will definitely stay longer with them next time.

Central location and yet quiet.
Small rooms with Basic amenities & decent breakfast
A bit of stairs at the entrance inside before the tiny elevator.
A litle over priced considering the above
Receptionist Amin or Amir was very informative and helpful
Domestic staff were friendly and nice.
Overall average , however the staff were very nice ..so an extra rating for them!

We would not want anything different, if were to visit Vienna again. The pension's location is an absolute win-win. A few minutes to walk to Stephansdom. Not that far to Opera. If like to explore on foot, then really would not need to use any transportation to see most of the sites. hopon-hopoff bus stop is just a minute from the hotel. So is the Metro. Hotel is very neat. Breakfast quite satisfying. Everyone working there is nice and helpful. We had a ride from and to hotel by the hotel staff. Beats regular taxi fair and dealing sometimes with a driver who does not know exactly where the place is. Hotel advertising is clear on shared bathroom. But, traveler should know what that means. You are sharing bathroom with potentially 6 other guests staying in the rooms in the same flat. Might have to wait your turn sometimes. if that is too inconvenient for you, then look for a different place. One point on using metro: make sure you have valid ticket with you. You do not have to show or validate it at any point. But, if you don't have it when the inspector happens, then it'll cost you: 100 (cash)/>100(charge) Euros.

We booked 2 rooms for our stay Sun-Weds. The rooms were small and the bathrooms were tiny but had everything you needed and functioned well enough. One of the showers didn't have a hook so had to be held which was annoying. They were very accommodating of our late arrival and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and polite.
The hotel is on the 8th floor and from our room we could see the cathedral which was nice. It's very basic but we used it only to sleep in, skipping out on breakfast as continental isn't our thing, so it suited us well. It's located close to the cathedral and canal and you can get almost anywhere using the underground which is really easy to use.
If all you're looking for is a base camp this is probably a good place to look.

They do have a perfect location, right there in the city center, but that is it.
We booked 2 rooms in the same category. One of them was good enough but the other room was like a haunted place. Felt like no-body has lived here for ages, the carpet was stinking and we could just not spend a single second there. Complained once, they did not pay much attention, complained again in a harsher tone and then they gave us another room which had 2 single beds lying in 2 different corners of the room, where as we had booked a double room originally. It was difficult to manage with a small kid to sleep on a single bed but that was better than sleeping on a double bed in a stinking room. So this actually was a very bed start of our vacation, it spoiled our mood. The staff was mixed. Some people were very nice where as some felt very rude. Breakfast was okay. We would never choose them again.

Room tip: Try to get the room at 8th floor. They have better rooms there
