My third visit to Pension Sacher during business trips. Lovely staff, excellent location, always clean and well equipped as well as very good value for money.
I've stayed in three different apartments from the very largest to the smallest and they have all been excellent.
Travellers who book an apartment in Pension Sacher are in for quite a treat. For a reasonable price per night, one will get (1) a big apartment with loads of character, (2) access to many of the major sights in Vienna simply by walking, (3) serious retail therapy from antiques to haute couture at your doorstep, (4) friendly advice from the warm and affable owners of Pension Sacher, and (5) countless dining opportunities from traditional Viennese to trendy Japanese.
I booked the smallest apartment in Pension Sacher since I am a solo traveller but the room I got was huge by any standards. The view of Stephansplatz from the windows cum balcony is simply breathtaking. The only regret I have is that I did not stay in Vienna long enough to enjoy both the comforts of Pension Sacher and of this magnificent city.
The perfect accommodation if staying in Vienna with family or friends. Our apartment has a full view of the front facade of St Stephen, and the (discreet) entrance is less than 50 m from the subway exit. The apartment was clean and felt like home, complete with a mini library of English books. The Sacher siblings were great hosts. Really could not ask for anything more.
Family owned and run by two brothers. Lovely apartment with beautiful views of St. Stephens. We had a large one bedroom with a separate living room that had a sofa bed. Good size kitchen. Kind hospitable hosts, eager to answer questions making sure you make the most of your stay in Vienna. Nameplate on the apartment door had our last name--fun touch!
Outstanding location, will make your stay in Vienna unforgettable. Spacious and very well maintained. We stayed just prior to peak season but booked months ahead. Found a great supermarket 5 minutes walk away, if you want a change from eating out. The owners are doing a great job in maintain this property.
It's little wonder that the apartment is ranked no 1. The location is fabulous. It's near the ubahn station, restaurants, shopping and of course the St Stephen's Cathedral. The apartment is nice with a big bathroom , a kitchen, a bed room and a living room. It has a great view of the St Stephen's Cathedral.
The host is friendly and helpful. He offered and helped us move all our luggages to the first floor during our departure. We had initially asked about leaving luggages with them on our check out day as we may want to visit more sights in Vienna before leaving. The host was perfectly fine with this arrangement. The hosts have also prepared Vienna maps and a list of recommended restaurants for us.
It's a nice experience and I will recommend people to stay at this apartment when they visit Vienna.
