The hotel is in a great spot - close to the U-Bahn stations, a quick walk to the river and plenty of restaurants and bars.

The reception area looks very new, however the appearance doesn't carry through to the rooms. The colour scheme is out of whack with the rest of the building. Both are acceptable, but they don't match! Rooms were otherwise tidy and serviced well.

We stayed when it was quite warm. The addition of either air-conditioning or fans would benefit the rooms. Likewise, some work on the wi-fi coverage would improve the experience - it was hit and miss in our room, but OK elsewhere and very good in reception.

The breakfast was at the lower-end of what I've come to expect of breakfasts in European hotels. A bit more variety and some layout changes in the serving area might do the trick.

Having never been to Vienna before, our first impression of the Hotel Post was not encouraging. It is very dated and drab, and the reception, restaurant and bar areas had less appeal than a railway buffet. Apart from breakfast we did not use them. Our room, on the first floor, was spacious and clean, with a safe and small 'fridge, but very dark and there was no air conditioning. Nevertheless, the hotel is very well-situated close to the river, metro and main tourist attractions, and Vienna itself is fabulous.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up and on the front of the hotel might be lighter and airier.

Great service and Great location make me love this city more and more. The hotel itself maybe is not really new but it is clean and comfortable. Just next to a lot of nice restaurants and also public transportation.

What a charming hotel this is. At first it seems rather dated (colour schemed could maybe do with revising) but honestly, it's not posh, not pretentious but people here work hard, seem genuinely pleased to help you. The cleaning lady was sweet and attentive. So were the dining staff - not too fussy. The twin beds in our room were really comfortable and the rooms were spacious (much more so than Best Western). What a cute lift! Wi fi in the bedrooms was available with a lead you collect from reception, otherwise you had to sit downstairs or outside for the free wi fi spots. We spent a couple of evenings drinking wine outside watching the world go by. Buffet breakfast (included) was ample and there was always bacon and eggs.
This place is very central and we were able to walk to our bike tour of the wineries from here. It's also close to the Jewish quarter where there is a memorial to the Holocaust just where the cafes are.

Great central location: It is a short walk from Stephanplatz, and very close to airport and metro stops making it easy to transfer to museums, the palace and airport. Because it is so close to tourist and shopping areas there are several bars/ restaurants close by.

Rooms are spacious but it can get hot in summer so need to keep the windows open. Bathrooms are big and modern. Free wi fi available in the lobby and select rooms only, but connectivity is somewhat slow. Breakfast is fine, nothing fancy.

All in all, the hotel does not impress. However there is enough for the budget tourist traveller to consider staying here for a couple of nights.

Room Tip: Ask for room on higher floor to avoid noise from the street or from the lobby area

Really central location! The bus from the airport is 5 min. walking distance, there are 2 metro stations very close, too, a lot of coffee bars, restaurants and shops. The room where me stayed was clean, big, quiet. Breakfast - nothing special, but quite enough. The staff was polite, especially the night shift receptionst. So, in my opinion, the hotel is perfect for sightseeing!

Room Tip: 507 is large and quiet
