The staff made my stay memorable and the clean quality rooms only helped. Plenty of restaurants and transport options nearby and only a couple of stops n the metro to the central city. This property is good value in my book and if I'm in Vienna again I will hope to stay here.
we stayed here over the new year period, i booked it as i had experience other renissance hotels and this was a bit below that standard, more a good 3 stars then a 4 stars
the room was rather small, and pretty old to a level where you almost question the cleanliness.
location was great, a hort walk from everything, tram takes you where u want....
service was ok, not people fighting to help you, then again i did find the locals a bit cold, so might not be a hotel problem really
as of now i would say it is more its location then anything, they need to review it all and refurbish it.
We had three people in two rooms for two nights in August 2013, using Marriott Reward points. There was a heat spell at the time, so the working and effective air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Lunch was excellent, especially the weinerschnitzel. The buffet breakfast was good quality with great variety.
The room had reasonable space. The beds were comfortable and the showers decent. Essentially zero English language TV.
The desk staff was friendly, helpful and efficient.
The location was great, about two minutes from a great underground station (use the underground), and thus 20 minutes or less from nearly everything.
The hotel is very nice, clean and the staff is great. You can can get any information you need on reception. Our room was nice, spacious, with the huge softy bad. The location is good if you don't mind using the metro, since in 10-20 min. you can easily reach all the important destinations of the town. Good value for the price.
ps. In that period there was some problem with the hot water for a few hours one day, but it was something out of the hotel.
This was our 3rd visit to the Renaissance Hotel Vienna. The first time was to use some Marriott Reward free nights (my partner travels on business and accumulated free nights and as we wanted to go to Vienna on the way back from Salzburg) so we decided to use them and stay at the Renaissance as there isn’t a Marriott in Vienna.
On first glance its not the most attractive hotel and not in the centre of Vienna, so we didn’t hold out much hope of liking the hotel, let alone returning. We had a pleasant surprise and been back twice since!
The reception staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful, the bar is smart and cosy and the bar lady (we didn’t see her this visit and I hope she hasn’t left) made our evening very enjoyable. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.
Our room wasn’t the best I’ve ever stayed in, that said were OK for what we paid this time and we only stayed 1 night. They are clean and functional and quiet even though we overlooked the main road and train line we didn’t hear a thing all night.
I mentioned the location isn’t central, however the underground station is 1 minute walk away and only 1 stop (1 minute) from Schonbrunn Palace, and 5 stops (5 minutes) to Kalzplatz which is near the centre, you can change lines or walk right to the centre, either way its not far. The tube is very easy (it really is) and the ticket machine is in English and we purchased 2 single tickets and travelled on that (it was never checked and no barriers) The tube stations are new clean safe and bright and I felt really safe using the train at night, so dont let the location put you off.

Was very nice experience at this hotel place was wonderful and connected with each part in the city service is excellent and room was big size stuff was very helpful and nice smile always every where from every one in the hotel and it was very good rate per night sure I recommend this hotel for everybody want to relax and enjoy the good service and nice food breakfast and sure perfect location
