“Neither one thing nor the other”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

When you travel around the world on business and your time clock is all over the place, it's sometimes in those early hours 3am/4am that you turn on the light, make a coffee, get back into bed and do the emails. Sadly as there's no WiFi in the room, only a cable at the desk, and no coffee making facilities, you can't do that here. You can choose between noisy air conditioning or the open window with the trams going past(!) but the beds are very comfortable. It's not a business hotel. They don't understand that conference rooms need clearing at lunchtime for new groups in the afternoon. Response times are slow. It's not a romantic hideaway for couples, and it's not the best place to stay in Vienna for tourists - 25 minutes walk from the centre. It looks magnificent as you walk in. But sadly it isn't.

A good business hotel with a beautiful lobby, friendly frontdesk staff, comfortable beds, a nice breakfast and a good location near the centre of Vienna. BUT this is 2013 and a Renaissance business hotel without WiFi in the rooms is a huge step back in time and in my opinion not acceptable anymore.

The executive rooms are in a building across from reception. Our room was huge, well appointed, clean with a huge bathroom. The walk in shower had a window so showering al fresco was wonderful!

The executive lounge itself is nice, decent breakfast plus free alcohol, beer, wine and snacks in the afternoon. Great value for the cost.

Stayed here for two nights which was organised through the company I was doing business with.
Initially it was fine until I discovered the toe nails on the carpet, rooms are obviously not cleaned properly and left me wondering about the cleanliness of the room.
No in room hot drink facilities which was disappointing for this type of hotel.
Would not stay again by personal choice.

We stayed in the separate wing for the executive level rooms, which are very spacious and have a wonderful lounge access. The location of the hotel is in a quiet side street, and about a ten minute walk to streetcar stops. Not sure that it is an ideal location if you are planning to do a lot of touristy things in Vienna.
Hotel service was outstanding, and the rooms were very nicely appointed.

I was a little taken aback by the mediocre reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor. However I was attending a conference at the hotel and my room was reserved and paid for by the conference organizer. So I was not in a position to look elsewhere.

Our (my wife accompanied me) actual experience of the hotel was very favourable. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet and the bed was excellent. Front desk service was friendly and prompt; breakfast was excellent with many choices. We really liked this hotel, but I have to admit I am glad that someone else was paying.

Lots of smoke around the facility and the hotel has very poor wifi service. I liked how available and quick the elevators were! Nice decor. Front disk service was adequate, although inconsistent. Stayed there for three nights.
