My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We were supposedly upgraded from a queen to an executive king, but it didn't appear to be so at all. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable, but the shower was small and the water pressure was so intense that it actually hurt. The staff was aloof. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food, but the dining area was very crowded. Also, the wifi was pay for access and there was barely a signal. Overall, it was ok, nothing notable. Probably better place to stay for a business trip.

Our experience at the Hilton Vienna was magical. The staff was first rate, very helpful, and communicated quite effectively. The staff in the club lounge could not have been more helpful. The room was a great mix of charm and convenience. We will stay there again!!!

Overall I have mixed feelings after my weekend stay at Hilton Vienna.

I chose this hotel for its competitive early bird room price and unbeatable location - directly across Wien-Mitte railway station (a mere 16-minute ride from the airport). Non-refundable rate for a King Deluxe Plus single room is 140EUR including breakfast.
Access from the airport is easy with the modern City-Airport Train running every 30 mins. However there is currently extensive work in progress at Wien-Mitte, so that finding the hotel is quite a challenging task!

Check-in quick. Reception staff very cold - except for one lady who was particularly friendly. Her colleague did not utter a single word when I enquired in fluent German about my room! Pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to Executive Room. Located on the 11th floor, very spacious with lot of daylight and unbeatable views over downtown Vienna. Large working desk, very comfortable King bed with a firm mattress, flatscreen TV, coffee-making facilities.
Bathroom is a bit small, shower and WC spotlessly clean. Travellers sensitive to noise should ask a room away from the elevators - I was sometimes disturbed by their constant background noise.

I had access to the Executive Lounge on the 12th floor. It is similar to an airport lounge with scenic views over the city. Good offering of cold and hot snacks, extensive choice of drinks. However the lounge was quite crowded and noisy on a Saturday evening.

Breakfast was very good in quality, but let down by an unacceptable service. Good offering of cold cuts, yoghurts, cereals, pastries and various Austrian regional cheese. Warm food included bacon, veal sausages and quite tasty scrambled eggs.
However a big thumbs-down for the BAD service. I stayed over one hour for breakfast; the waiter came to my table only twice. For coffee and fresh orange juice pouring it by myself was much quicker! The staff seemed to be in a constant rush, moving back and forth but doing little.

Overall I would come back to this hotel only for its great location. However the level of service is definitely not up to Hilton standards.

Room Tip: Higher floors offer unbeatable views over downtown Vienna. Ask for a room away from the elevators if you are noise-sensitive.

Walking distance to everything. located next to beautiful park, Strauss gold statue, tram service, and a Starbucks where we went every day for free Wifi! Hilton Vienna does not have free Wifi in the lobby. Buffet breakfast is very good.

Just as most other reviewers said, this Hilton is first class, comfortable and convenient to the center of the city. The rooms are reasonably big; the beds offer American comfort. The staff was welcoming and both concierges were extremely helpful in arranging tours, concerts and travel. We were there four nights in mid October, and a street at the hotel's side was undergoing extensive, loud work--ask for a quiet room. Be aware the work also involves the nearby building where the CAT (City Airport Train) arrives, so finding the way to the hotel isn't easy. The hotel's WiFi is expensive, with different prices for a smartphone or laptop connection! (Starbucks on a nearby corner solves that issue, and offers a less expensive breakfast option--as does a cafe across the street.)
Cannot recommend using the SIXT car rental in the lobby: after we left they charged for refueling even though we returned the car with a full gas tank.

Room Tip: “Tips: Ask for a quiet room. Stadtpark Brauhaus nearby is a good option for a local casual eatery with tasty Viennese menu. "Plachuttas" restaurant on nearby Wollzeile Str. served us an excellent dinner after concert.” Be extra careful if renting a car with Sixt in the lobby.
