Stayed in May 2013. Good location, well priced, clean room, good breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
Would recommend and stay again. Very close to metro, trams, good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was more than adequate.

This hotel has a great location: 10 min by foot to parliament, 15 to the museums, etc. However, there a are two things you should bear in mind. 1) this is an eco-friendly hotel and there is no AC, and 2) internet connection is very poor. Besides this, the hotel is a small and very simple hotel that worked fine for us. Breakfast was good.

We decided to visit Wien in advent: greatest, busiest and therefore most expensive time of the year in this city. Having that in mind, Graf Stadion could be considered a budget accommodation and a very good value.
Needless to say, location couldn't be better: just behind Rathaus, less than 100 meters from U-bahn station, 10 min walk to Museumsquartier, 15 min to Stephansplatz. It is situated in a small quiet alley and the neighborhood seemed very friendly and safe.
We booked Superior room and it was exactly like in the pictures: huge, comfortable and very clean (as well as the bathroom). It was a shame only to sleep there, but we were in Wien just for a couple of days, therefore walking around the city from early morning until late in the evening.
Breakfast was excellent, but without cooked food if that is what someone would require.
Ambience in the entire hotel is contagiously charming. Famous old elevator is mentioned in almost every review. The building has architectural style of Biedermeier era, it is even more fun if you know something about it before arrival.
Staff at the reception were a bit slow-motioned, but polite and friendly and that is most important.
In conclusion, we really enjoyed this hotel in every aspect. Accommodation in Wien (especially in high season) is very expensive. Cheaper options could be found but Graf Stadion, considering location and it's comfort, has a very good value for money.

Room Tip: Check the price difference between Standard and Superior rooms. When we were making a booking, Super...

I traveled last year in September. I choose this hotel because the great location and walking distance to the old town and public transportation. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was included to the hotel rates ( unusually for downtown Vienna). The rooms were very small but this is historic building and we expected it. the price was very low to compare other hotels in this area.

I stayed in this hotel for one night only. It is situated just behind Rathaus (city hall) so city center is in walking distance. The price is in the lower range for this area due to building being quite old, rooms small.
The receptionist was very friendly.
My room was a bit cold through the night, my colleague in another room had to open the window because it was too hot. Bathroom was very small but enough big for my needs.
Wifi works fine in the room, you get free username and pass to access it.
Breakfast is as you would expect for this price range. Nothing special, but acceptable.

The garage has capacity for 4 cars only and if you are the fourth one (we were), you might have some difficulties to park in there. It costs 18 EUR/day (compared to city center, where we paid 40 EUR in the garage from 9.00 till 19.00).

Room Tip: The lift is very small so you might want to have a room in the first floor and walk.

Although our stay started a bit wrong I would have to rate this as an excellent experience.
We arrived on the 30th at 9 o'clock only to find out that booking.com has cancelled our stay and we did not have a room!!!! The hotel staff (thank you Petra :-) ) was very supportive and after a New Year's miracle a room opened up for us.
The hotel was clean, really close to the U-Bann station and a walking distance from the Rathaus and many of the Vienna's inner ring attractions.
Breakfast was small but very good and considering the weather a great choice to have it in the hotel before starting your day!
The service of the staff was excellent and we will definitely visit the place again.

Room Tip: New Year's eve @ the Rathaus is excellent. No need to get all pushed around by going to Stephanz...

this hotel. is between the old and the new city, 15-10 min walk from all the tourist sites, 200 meters from the Rathaus station subway.
it's a very nice small hotel, the room was small but we ordred the smaller room that cost 80 Euro per a night with breakfast, you can pay 30 euro more for a night and get a very big room, we didnt felf we needed it, we werent at the room, just slept there. the room was clean and worm (we were there on December) we didnt hear any noise, it was always quiet.
the breakfast was very nice and the crow was helpful and kind.
the only problem i had with the hotel the they didnt have double bed, they had 2 twin bed, for a couple it can be uncomfortable.
we really recommend this hotel, we think it it worth the money.
