“another visit to Vienna and Hotel Beethoven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We stayed at Hotel Beethoven in 2011 and found it ideal for us: close to Theater an der Wien, where we attended the opera, and convenient to the underground and within walking distance of several museums. Our experience this time was just as satisfactory. The room was pleasant, very clean, the beds were comfortable with reading lights for each bed, the breakfast was as good as we remembered. We enjoyed the Sunday concert in the lounge. The staff were very helpful. One woman checked the address of a concert venue for my husband and learned that the concert had been cancelled, thus saving him a frustrating and disappointing trip. We felt very much at home and plan to stay at the Beethoven on any future Vienna trips.

Room Tip: We have stayed in Room 106 (2011) and Room 103 (this visit). Both were quiet and adequate for us. I...

I loved Hotel Beethoven. Ideal location, close to transport and also able to walk to many wonderful attractions. The best breakfast facilities I've ever experienced, great decor, quiet and the freshest food with unobtrusive but great service. My room, a deluxe salon, suited perfectly and had a great view over the street to Theater de Wien. All staff were very helpful.
How good also to be very close to the Nachsmacht (market and great outdoor restaurants and bars) and Cafe Sperl, the quintessential Viennese coffee house.

Room Tip: My corner suite, deluxe salon, room 205, was fantastic for atmosphere and light. Double glazed windo...

We loved this hotel. It was ideally situated. We can walk to most attractions. The subway (underground), buses, and street trolley (even a taxi stand) was a 5-10 minute walk. We experienced no nighttime noise. The hotel was clean and well serviced for its age. My only complaint is that the hotel is dated but how many people come to Wien (Vienna) to stay all day in their rooms. Parking is very limited but we got lucky. Breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Room was very clean (we stayed in Room 303). The hotel is 2 minute walk next to the Nachtsmarkt so you can have your pick of food, vegetables etc... if you want to save some money. I would definitely return again.

Glorious property, warm and welcoming, beautifully clean, lovely staff, outstandingly good breakfast and in all in the ideal location. Wish we could move in and live there permanently.
Recommended without hesitation and very much hope to return. Go - you'll love it.

We flew into Paris from Hong Kong but missed our connection to Vienna because of bad weather so actually arrived some 7 hours late. The hotel was great and we were given a room on the 5th floor. The room was spacious and well decorated in a modern style with a great bed and enough space in the room for a double sofa and a writing desk. There was a bathroom and a separate loo which is always good. There was no bath but a great shower with fantastic water pressure and nice toiletries. The breakfast was buffet style with the freshness and variety great and a perfect setup to a day spend exploring.

The location can't be beaten and as someone who travels a lot I am happy to recommend this great hotel and the attentive but not overbearing service. We would be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: I have read a number

This is a fantastic hotel easily within walking distance of all Vienna's main sights and attractions. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff are extremely helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The concert in the lounge with a glass of champagne on Easter Sunday was very enjoyable and made a great start to our four day visit to Vienna. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this city.
