We had a 4 day stay in September and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by very friendly, smiling and helpful staff. That includes all the staff – reception, breakfast and room cleaning.
Our accommodation was roomy, clean, comfortable and overlooked the Theater an der Wien (we had hoped for a good view of the entrance and were not disappointed).
The breakfast selection was more than enough and nicely presented. The coffee machine never failed to provide an excellent cup – it set us up nicely for our frequent visits to the Coffee Houses!
The spacious lounge with coffee available at any time was brilliant. The large windows overlooking the Theater is a fantastic idea and a memorable feature of the hotel – along, of course, with the Beethoven theme. All it needed was Beethoven there to play the grand piano!
The location - next to the Theater an der Wien - is just outside the Ringstrasse but within easy walking of the Staatsoper, Hofburg Palace, Museum Quarter and, of course, only 2 minutes from the Naschmarkt.
Coffee lovers will find 2 of the historic Coffeehouses, Café Sperl and Café Museum very close by.

We stayed here two nights in September. The hotel is in a nice location, within walking distance of most of the major sites in Vienna. Even if you don't prefer to walk, the metro station Karlsplatz is very close, which has 3 different U-Bahn lines connecting there so you can reach most places within the city without having to change lines. The Nashmarkt is right there with an ample amount of places to eat. The breakfast selection is very good and has a very wide range of choices which the hotel staff is continually refilling things so the food never runs out. The hotel has complimentary coffee and tea throughout the entire day. Our room was nicely decorated with a very large shower. We were very pleased with our entire stay here.

A wonderful, old-world hotel. The rooms were very nice for European standards - meaning comfortable but not huge. The baths were superior. Free wifi. 24 hour a day coffee bar in lobby. Excellent breakfast buffet (included). Very helpful staff. I'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor (actually five floors from the lobby) next to the only (small) elevator...

This hotel is really nice, in a great location - on a quiet side street opposite Naschmarkt.
Luckily we booked a room on the 5th floor, room 505 which was beautiful but the fifth floor is the only floor which has been refurbished, the others looked very dated indeed.
Breakfasts were great, loads of choice and good coffee!

Room Tip: book room 505! or any on the 5th floor

i can only confirm all the favorable comments. this is a very well run hotel that does all the basics correctly. the best part for us was the friendly and knowledgeable staff. this is something that is alas too rare in this business. the rooms work well and have a nice old-fashioned charm. the location cannot be beat for tourists. it is on a quiet street. but you are within walking distance or short metro or tram trip to most of the prime tourist sites, such as the art museum, palace, state opera, etc. we would definitely come back to this hotel if we are again in this beautiful city.

Room Tip: we liked the 'deluxe' room, which is in the corner with a bay window. there is a modest up...

I will try to give a short brief of the main things of this hotel:

-Location: center location to Nashmarkt which you can spend your night in for dinner, Karls underground which can take you to most attractions, Opera state and the old city center and finally the MQ the vital place specially for teens gathering and dining. Although it has a central location, it is in a very quiet place away from the main streets.

-Reception and staff: greeted by a warm welcome and smile. The receptionist was Marta/ Martha- I forget the accurate name, she gave us all the required maps and information. Other receptionist is Nicolos, he is a very cooperative guy, we do really thank them all for their help and keeping smiling all the time.

-Bedroom: in the 5th floor as adviced by other travelars which is renovated floor with nice decoration. Our room with two toilets, one for the WC with a cute basin and the other with great showers in the top and in the both sides.

-Breakfast: serveral options with nice environment and helpful smily staff.

All in all, in this year's trip we lived in 5 hotels in differen cities around Europe and this hotel is the best. I loved Vienna because of its great culture and nature and this hotel let me enjoy Vienna more.

Room Tip: Fifth floor

Great location, very close to Naschmarkt where food options abound and tucked in a small and quiet street. Efficient and professional service from front desk to breakfast service. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with large bathrooms. Very good breakfast. There is really nothing to complain about the Beethoven Hotel. However, you cannot help thinking that in a property with character like the Beethoven's it was possible to do something better than a Best Western. Although it seems that the hotel is no longer part of the chain all Best Western features remain: cheap furniture that seem to come straight from a US motel, light beige and pink colors everywhere, terrible carpets. Just looking at the stairwell you can imagine what the Beethoven could have been: a nice boutique hotel. However, because of its efficient service, excellent location and comfort it certainly is a good option in Vienna.
