“Great stay in Vienna!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2012

I booked this place based on many good reviews and they are all true!!! :)
The hotel is a little gem and staying there made my long weekend in Vienna even more magical.

Location is excellent: 2 min walk from Karlsplatz metro station, short walking distance to Vienna Old Town, so one does not really need to use the public tranportation much, it is perfectly ok to walk around. It is very close to State Opera and Musikverein and since I was lucky to visit both, I really appreciated the convenience of being just a short stroll away. Not to mention that there are many great cafes and restaurants in the area, which are all very tempting.

Hotel is not very large and has a nice home feel. The reception was very friendly and professional. The room was very clean and quiet, good size for a single and the bathroom was rather large. My only complaint was that the bed itself was very small, but it was comfortable.

The breakfast was very tasty and cheerful! Bright dining room, many choices. They offer both hot and cold dishes. They also offer free tea / coffee all day long in the hotel lobby.

All other services worked very well: good wi fi speed, fresh newspapers, prompt cleaning.

I also liked the hotel's atmosphere: it is part of classical Vienna feel and makes a great addition to the whole city experience.

Hope to be back :).

Just back from a stay in Vienna at Hotel Beethoven. This is a very central hotel, in a quiet location. You can walk to all the main sights. Its clean with spacious rooms and very helpful staff. Breakfast provided a very wide choice.

This was definitely the best hotel we've ever stayed in! Never received such a warm welcome, we had a great time since the 1st seconds we entered. Room was spacious, clean, bed comfortable, bathroom had a very good size. Breakfast was fantastic, loads of things to choose from and every single member of staff very kind, polite. Location was brilliant too, that we didn't realize until we got there. Everything was walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Traveled in February, 2011 to study art and skated at Ice Dreams three times. I was able to walk to city hall, city centre or the museums. Very close to the market where there is great variety in food. Enjoyed the hot deep tub after being out in the cold skating. My room was one of the more modern one. I went to Rome and Florence on the same trip as well and the rooms there didn’t compare. Easy access to the main lobby computer and always had red fresh apples to grab on the way in or out. Breakfast was buffet style and was great. A few cute gals serving as well. I would stay there again, no questions asked.

We had absolutely no complaints, we had a large, beautiful double deluxe room, decent size bathroom, separate toilet, underfloor heating; it's a very quiet hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff, and very clean throughout. Superb breakfast, both in choice, variety, and freshness of the food. The location is excellent, two minutes walk from Karlsplatz, the Ring, and the Museum Quarter; ten minutes from the Hofberg Palace and within fifteen minutes walk of Stefandom; trams and underground were very close also if you don't want to walk. The nearest underground station, Karlsplatz, is on the Schonberg Palace line and the CAT (City Airport Train) line also.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Beethoven for 3 nights in July 2011 at the start of a 2 week trip to Austria and and then came back for a final night before flying home again from Vienna. It's in a great location, very handy for train connections and with easy walking distance of Museum quarter and the Rathaus with its wonderful summer film festival and open air eateries. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast and not too pricey. The front desk staff were also very helpful. We loved Vienna, try the apple strudel at Cafe Museum just up the road from the the hotel!

My wife and i stayed her during our stay in Vienna, the hotel is easy to find and close to all the Museums... The staff is nice, the breakfast was fine, but the rooms were a bit outdated, all 80's, so it needs a bit of an update specially for the bed!... maybe i am a bit spoiled but i couldn't sleep well..... considering that the hotel has no restaurants or other extra's I do feel that it is quite expensive... it is not as bad as London or Paris, but i would say that i have seen much better rooms for the price we paid.

Again the positive points: nice and helpful friendly staff, clean, well located and ok breakfast.

Negative: the bed isn't very good... we didn't sleep well at all and for what you get it is a bit expensive.
